2 months later
• Ivy's POV •
It had been two months later after Caspian was dropped off at thorn hill, and yet there had been no interaction really between Caspian and I at all. Sometimes before bed when I would come up from supper late in the evenings I'd see him in the hallway looking down at me as he went into his room. I could hear noises coming from his room, usually the tv or the video games that he brought with him I think. Sometimes I'd hear him talk to himself, that or he would talk on the phone to one of his friends with a sly laugh. I unfortunately had no one.
Sometimes I'd hear him talking to astronomus while he ate in the kitchen. I always wondered what they talked about, but if it had anything to do with what I heard them talking about the last time I ease dropped, then I didn't want to know.
I get that he didn't like me. He was frustrated and overwhelmed. Frankly so was I. Stuck in one big empty house with no one else to talk to. I just didn't want to hear one more person mad at me for something I didn't do.
Tonight was just another Lonely night for me. No friends no family, no Caspian, no servents to talk too.
I was sitting on my bed thinking about things, and was going to head down for dinner soon. I wore a soft black velvet pajama cardigan and a blue tank top with the velvet black laced shorts to match. Who am I kidding, there was no need to dress up for dinner anymore. I should just go down in my pajamas now. I got out of bed and reached for the door but a voice aside stopped me.
"Hello? Ivy?" I heard Caspian's voice come through the intercom in my room. I, stopping in my tracks, walked over to the box and pressed a button.
"Hello? This is Ivy." I responded uneasily waiting for what felt like years for his next reply.
"Hi, Ivy it's Caspian. Meet me downstairs for dinner?" He half asked. I paused at the thought. Should I? What on earth would we even talk about to eachother? Why would he be asking now? To be honest it excited me to finally have some company.
"Hello?" He came again."Yes. Yeah, uh sure. I'll.. I'll come down for dinner." I finished. I quickly rushed to the hallway and down the long widened stairs. I walked into the dining room to see the table set, a feast practically made for just the two of us. Caspian sat down at one end of the long table with a blue dress shirt on. His hair looked awfully nice and he had just shaved. He looked even better up close. I could smell the cologne, a light scent catching my nose making me hum. "Mmm." I looked at everything surprised, which I think gave him a fright.
"Is everything as it should be?" He asked placing his napkin on his lap, way to proper for the Caspian Griffith I knew.
"Yes, it's quite splendid." I cheered, uneasily looking at the sight laid out in front of me.
"I had the chefs make us a whole meal!" He smiled bubbly, proudly raising his hands up in the air looking at the warm food out in front of him making me smile. That's the Caspian Griffith I knew.
"Wow." I lightly laughed shocked. "I-i just, I mean thank you... I-I hope I'm not to casual, I'm just in my simple night gown."
"No no, not at all take a seat. And besides you didn't even know about this."
I took a seat in the fancy cushioned chair, and placed the napkin in my lap. "S-so What brings this unannounced dinner?" I asked nervously.
"Well, before I start please, let's eat while the supper is still hot and warm." He said properly.
"Okay." I breathed out smiling, but anxiously. I began to eat, taking a bite of the scrumptious steak on my plate. It tasted much more wonderful than it had before when I ate alone.

Once my plate was half gone and Caspian's was fully empty he began to speak.
"So," he started. "I've.. Ive been thinking and I've given it some thought and this.. this whole thing is unpleasant for both of us. However, if we are going to be married in the spring for the sake of my farther to keep his job and house then so be it. We're going to be together whether we like it or not, and I know for a fact both of us have been lonely. So, all I'm asking is, you know, when I say hi across the hall you can say hi back. In the mornings and nights we can eat meals together, an eloquent dinner once a day. After that we don't have to see eachother, but once a day will do us good to at least be in one another's company. Not cooped up forever as long as we both shall live." He scoffed lightly laughing. "At least let's act that we're not at all pure hatred towards each other. We should a least make the best of the situation at hand. After all we used to be friends. Let's at least try and have some fun while we're stuck here." He finished then reaching out taking a sip of his water waiting for me to respond.
"Y-Yes. I Agree. Dinners every evening then?" I asked. I didn't understand. We've had no interaction at all, and the last time 3 months ago I heard him say he practically hated me. Why was he so happy all of a sudden. Had he done something I didn't know of?
"Yes. How does 6:00 sound?" He asked snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Good. I'll be there." I answered with a light smile then a confused look. "Caspain if I may ask. . why are you talking so fancy? It's not like you" I crooked my head it while smiling. He choked on his water hunching his shoulders instantly cracking up.
"I-I d-don't really know." He said eyes squinting while he still held his drink as he laughed making me laugh too. "I feel quite stupid actually."
"I think the mansion, and money is getting to you." I said beginning to get up as I finished laughing.
"Yeah I think it is." He smiled as he sighed also finishing laughing. "Well then, I suppose I'll see you tomorrow." He smiled nodding, watching as I walked away.
"Goodnight." I calmly said, my back facing him.
"Night." He replied behind me.
