• Ivy's POV •After I decided I liked dancing and goofing off at parties with Caspian, him and I had gone to at least 6 more, after the first one I ever went to. Tonight would be our seventh in counting- yes I counted.
Tonight I had no makeup on, perusal. Only some thick mascara on my long eyelashes to make my blue eyes pop. My hair was just down as it naturally looked. I was wearing a loose dress that flowed straight down to my knees. It was dark red, and had emblems and gold jewls on the thick shoulders straps. It was simple enough that I didn't look over done, but fancy enough you could wear it to homecoming. In fact I was going to wear it to last years homecoming, but jack bailed at the last minute leaving me at the dance alone. That's part of he reason I never liked parties before. Now Caspian and I were making more memories in its place.
I walked down the long stairs when I made it to the landing. I turned around, looking back up the stairs to shout, "Caspian come on!" I covered my mouth making my voice louder.
"Yeah yeah! I'm coming!" I heard his voice from upstairs call to me. The noise of his footsteps clattered on the floor until finally he appeared at the top of them. He was wearing a black t-shirt and some blue jeans, with a small gold chain necklace around his neck.
"Ah, there you are." I smiled. His body loosely hurried down the stairs, bouncing with each step.
"Ready to go?" He asked, and with one final hop landing beside me.
"Yep. For once I'm not the late one." I smirked.
"Surprisingly," he smiled. "You look beautiful by the way." He changed the subject, then grabbig my rosy cheeks, pulling me in to meet his lips as he gave me a longed kiss.
"Thanks." I laughed, my cheeks slightly scarlet red. "I needed that."
"Why? Is something wrong?" He instantly asked, a little to quickly. Normally being around people I was used to, I would assume he was up to something almost immediately. With Caspian it was different. There was no need for any worrying. I saw the way his eyes fell sorrowful as he looked directly in my eyes. He was simply worried something was wrong, and nothing more to it.
"I just.. This is the dress I wore to homecoming."
"I thought you never went to dances?"
"I technically didn't. I Almost did once."
"With who? " he curiously asked.
"Jack. I had told him over and over I didn't go to dances but, he didn't listen. He finally convinced me, so I left. I arrived at the dance in the pouring rain, and .. well he never showed. He had gotten to drunk, and he was with another girl."
"Is that why you didn't want to go to any parties?"
"Yeah..." I sighed looking down. I still was unsure of myself when it came to opening up to people.
"Ivy, I'm so sorry. Jack was a jerk, you know that. You know none of that was your fault right?"
I paused at the thought. I liked the way he was so caring towards me.
"Yeah.. I do. I didn't then, but now I know.""Ok, good. I just .. wanted to make sure." He said reaching out to hold my arm. He rubbed it gently up in down slowly until he kissed my forehead.
