There once was a girl living alone on a small island deep in the ocean. The island had a few trees, some rocks, and a small sandy beach. On the island, the girl felt safe and out of harm's way. But being alone for so long made her feel lonely. She had no idea if there were more people somewhere else, beyond the sea that kept her there. One day she had a thought.

What if she one day just walked out in the ocean and never returned?

She decided that she at least would try to leave her island if only just to see what would happen. As she got closer she could hear the big waves roaring in her ears. They were saying that she could not leave, that they would not let her. But the girl ignored them and stepped into the ocean ever so slowly. The waves grew more violent with their words, and they were screaming that she had no home nor any family she needed to go to. She kept going through the water as she was shaking in anger. Now the waves started pushing her back whilst saying how they didn't need her, and that nobody would ever need her to leave the island.

She froze in her steps. This was the end of the girl's endless patience with the waves. She remembered how any time she grew near them stey would badmouth her and be mean to her. This time she grew angry with them. She snapped.

-Enough already, I've had it with you. She yelled.

- I am sick and tired of all your comments, so just stop it. I have been there from the beginning and I have listened to your complaints for years on end and I have had enough of if. If you want to bother someone go do it to someone else because I am leaving. She thundered.

The waves came to an abrupt stop, and the ocean was clear of any movement. The girl kept on walking until she had to swim, and even then she kept going. Finally, after what seemed like ages, she reached a different shore, on a different and much bigger island. On this new island she found more people like her, they had even built something out of the trees. The new people spotted her and waved her over to where they had flames. Soon after she met the new people she started feeling at home on the new island. One day she went close to the ocean again in search of the waves, but she could never find them nor hear them close by.
