Reincarnated in another world as twins

The battle at the Oletha Household (part 4)......

(Team Reind and Aldwin)

In the dead of the night, one man and a youth entered a cave which was emitting a foul aura of mana. Aldwin gulped as he mentally prepared himself for the worst. Reind took the lead and as they entered the cave they were welcomed with a huge boulder thrown towards them. Reind covered Aldwin as they dodged the boulder, covering their noses and mouths, not to inhale the dust. Aldwin coughed twice as he got up, "The hell was that!?"

Aldwin saw Reind standing in front of him, covering him. His stance gave off the seriousness of the situation. Tightening the grip on  his sword, he got into a more vigilant stance as a huge figure approached them from the front. The giant that was coming towards them never uttered a word, just walked like a mindless puppet.

"What is that thing!?" Aldwin raised voice as he got into a defensive stance, his whole body trembled. Reind, on the hand, finally took out his sword ran towards the huge figure. The closer Reind got to the figure he realised that the figure was not a living thing but a huge humanoid made out of stone. The giant was floundering with every step of his. And when it sensed Reind approaching he tried to punch him. The speed of the punch was very slow and thus, Reind was easily able to avoid it and attacked its leg severing it with a slash. But the humanoid's leg repaired itself as fast as it was destroyed by Reind.

Reind clicked his tongue and withdrew from the scene while avoiding the giant's attack and came back to where Aldwin was. They hid behind the boulder that was thrown at them and conversed about how to deal with this creature which was able to recover and has no concept of pain.

(Team Rodney and Silas)

'Why, why do I have to fight them? Why do I have to listen to that woman's order?' Edward was having an internal conflict of his own as he defended against Rodney's attack. He was having a hard time to dodge all of his attacks because whenever he avoided an attack he was already another one. His whole body was covered in cuts. His once clean and beautiful clothes were now sullied and covered in blood. His calm countenance from before was also lost. His appearance was ragged and he was panting, he had no time to attack cause all his energy was spent on defending against the dark nymph.

Rodney, on the other hand, was already done on his side. It didn't take him a lot of time once he got serious about fighting. He ran to Silas help him but was stopped by the dying butler's last attempt to keep his young master alive. The young butler erected a barrier trapping Rodney inside it. He sighed as he sat down, "Such a loyal person," he looked at the pale face of the butler with sorrow. He touched the wall of the barrier and started to override the spell of the dead butler with his own and destroyed it within a matter of seconds. 

Edward in a desperate situation was being pushed in a corner. His expression was so cold and calm that one could not infer from his face that he was being pushed in a corner. He conflicted whether he should use the thing that had been given to him by that woman he despised, his so-called mother, he was thinking, agonising over it and at the end, the will to live for another day emerged the winner. While defending against Silas he rummaged the pockets in the coat and took out a rainbow-coloured crystal and ate it. Immediately after consuming it, Edward's face calm face contorted in pain and the veins started bulging as they would pop out of the skin at any time. Due to the pain, he was unable to avoid Silas completely and was scratched by his nails. Silas who was so close to Edward didn't miss out the change in the young master of the Oletha. He knew that this meant trouble and tried to make a distance between them but found that Edward had gripped his hand refusing to let go of it.

Surprised and agitated by sudden strength demonstrated by the young master, Silas exerted a lot of power to free himself but failed every time. Finally, when he had enough of this and decided that attacking is the only way left and aimed for Edward's heart he was greeted with burning feeling on the hand which was gripped by Oletha. Soon Silas' contorted in a way similar to that of Edward. He had deduced that the crystal that the young man consumed earlier was the reason for the sudden boost in strength but what was the power of the crystal he was unsure of. Just as Silas came back to his senses he finally realised the extent of the power up the Oletha had gone through. Silas' heart was pierced by the bare hand of his opponent. He splurted a mouthful of blood as he looked down at the young Oletha. The young man had an eerie smile on his face, unlike his usual angry look. He seemed to have lost sanity but that was not the only thing Edward's eyes, ears and nose were bleeding but veins had covered most his body. If it was a normal person he or she would have died but the black-haired youth was just sitting there like some creepy porcelain doll. Silas finally was able free himself from Edward's grip, and immediately making some distance between them. But was not fast enough to avoid getting plummeted by his punches and kicks. Edward smiled and laughed maniacally as he kept on beating Silas until his head was bleeding, making a puddle of blood on the floor. 

Silas' body was still and the blood wouldn't stop flowing. The eerie smile on his face widened which made him look grisly more than his current appearance.

(Hey guys!!! I'm so sorry for not updating the story for so long, I know it has been more than a month since I last updated it. But I guess this what happens when you have no idea on how to write a chapter. I had a basic idea for a long time but I just couldn't write it down. And to add to that I had a lot of work this semester which killed my will to write this story. So sorry once again, but I think you might have to wait a long time again for a new update.)
