I awake with warm sensations over my body. Cade kneels in front of me, looking at my arms and checking my pulse frantically. How long have I been out? He closes his eyes and listens to my pulse. I study him, trying to say something. Nothing comes out. I raise my free arm and gently touch his forearm. The sudden touch startles him , causing him to topple over and land on his side. I display a faint smile before sitting up against the curb. He quickly scrambles to my side. "Are you okay?" He asks surprised. I remember the strong glow originating from my veins. I glance down at my arm which showed no sign of harm or glowing. I shrugged before making my way to my feet. I have a massive headache and my whole body aches. I shudder before suddenly twitching slightly. "Wow." Cade says gently sliding his hand under my chin. "What?" I say slightly shuddering again. "You're eyes. They're blue." Cade says examining my eyes. "Blue?" I repeat before walking over to a puddle. It was still barely raining, so the puddle was slightly rippled by the rain drops. I stare at my reflection noting my glowing icy blue eyes. I twitch again, holding on to Cade for balance. "What's wrong?" Cade says in a worried tone. "I don't know." I say looking at him. I twitch again causing my whole body to shift. This time I check my pulse. I felt nothing except slow rumbling, then a vibrant rush of my pulse. I was confused, how was this possible. I examine my arms carefully, with each rush of pulse a small glow appears in my veins then disappears. I twitch again this time with the light glowing stronger. A tingling feeling rushed up my spine and all over my body. Quick sparks travel across the air in front of me. Small blue lines whip across my chest and travel down to my fingertips. They look almost like.. Lightning. I close my hands into fists. A light within them glows brighter the longer I kept it. I shake away my fists before returning my eyes to Cade. He seems calm, ..quiet. He leans in close to me. "You need to learn how to control it." He says in a hushed tone. I was so confused, I had so many questions. But I stood there motionless, watching Cade walk away, and out of my sight.
