I slip into my converse shoes before pulling up my hoodie and entering the hallway. Everyone was asleep by now. it was 15 minutes until 1:00. I make my way downstairs and slip out the front door without a sound. I dart down the damp street. When I finally reach the meadow, It was about 1:05 am. I stand there panting alone. "wow I'm actually surprised you came." I hear from behind me. I turn and see Cade walking toward me. "well, I got your invite." I say smiling. "quite a storm we got above us right?" he says continuing to walk toward me. I glance up and watch the clouds circulate above my head. "yeah, I guess we do." I say keeping my eyes on the clouds. " so anyway, is there a particular reason you called me hear?" I say glancing down at Cade. Cade's face was expressionless. "Cade?" I ask confused. He suddenly runs toward me, slamming into me, sending me hard to the ground. "Ugh!" I shout tumbling. I quickly stand and face him. "That's right, get angry. You'll need to control that." He says in a mocking voice. He comes at me again. I jump to my left avoiding him. Before I can stand up again he comes toward me, lifting me, than dropping me to the ground. I breathe heavily, unable to catch me breathe. Why was he doing this? "stop." I squeak through my breathes. "Fight." He says flatly. He pulls me up to my feet. I sway unbalanced. "Fight." He repeats. "No, I'm not gonna fight you, what is wrong with you?" I ask looking up at him. He face was stone but his eyes were sorry. I was confused. He pulls me up in the air before slamming me hard into the ground again. I was dazed. Everything was fuzzy. I spring to my feet and swing at him. He dodges my fist. "Use what's around you, like in the hospital." he shouts. "what?" I ask completely puzzled. He shoves me hard, causing me the tumble backwards. My head was pounding and my body ached from the blows. Everything slowed down. I could see Cade in slow motion advance toward me. I slipped to my right, dodging his arms. I elbow him hard in the side of his head, causing him to fly to his side. "Now we're getting somewhere." He says standing up. "ENOUGH." I shout at him. Anger filled my insides. Why would he do this to me, after everything. I raise my hand high in the air. My veins glowed with power. Lightning surrounds my body. I glance at my arm. I clutch my arm to my side in terror and look at Cade. He stands there motionless watching me. "oh my god." I say quietly to myself. "Your power comes from your emotion. We're here for you to control it." He says softly. I was still angry. "AND YOU THINK ATTACKING ME WAS THE WAY TO DO THAT?!?!" I scream at him. I could feel the energy flowing in my veins. He stays silent for a moment. "It was the only way to get you to fight me back, but I'm sorry." He says stepping toward me. I step back still angry. "Well for what it's worth I am sorry. But if you not too mad, can I ask you here again tomorrow night?" he asks looking at me. I stay quiet pondering his question. "Okay." I say flatly. I turn and walk away, leaving him standing there. I glance down at my arm and see the glow fading away. Once I know I'm out of his sight, I sprint and head home.
