We sit outside, eating our complementary breakfast on the patio filled with strangers. Since this morning, I haven't gotten the guts to even look at Cade. How was I suppose to explain my fake slumber? He approaches our table. "Good morning everyone." Cade says grabbing a seat next to me. "Hello again Aria." Cade whispers to me as a grin grows once again across his face. "Hello." I say shortly staring at my food, avoiding eye contact. "How was your night? Peaceful?" He says in a mocking tone. My face burns. "Fine." I say picking up a piece of toast. "Well, I've never seen anyone wake so.. Abruptly. "He replies stealing a toast from my plate. "So you watch people sleep?" I say turning toward him. "Well, I happen to be an early bird." He says taking a monstrous bite of my stolen toast. "Well judging by the way you slept, it didn't seem like you were ever gonna wake again." I say picking up my glass to take a sip. "And how do I sleep?" He says finishing the toast. "Like you're hiding in a war zone." I say taking a sip of my juice. "So I guess I'm not the only one who watches people sleep.." He says evilly glaring at me before standing up. I only just then realize what I had said. I gulp the rest of the juice, present in my mouth, down my throat to try and cover up my words. "I'll see you all later ." Cade says turning around and strolling away. I turn toward my mother who is finishing up her meal as well. "Later?" I ask leaning toward her. "Yes, this isn't a motel, so I booked for 3 days, you'll see him later, I invited him to join us shopping later." She says cleaning off her mouth. "Yeah relax," Jeffery says chiming in. "You'll your little boyfriend later." He says chuckling. "He is not my boyfriend!" I say a little too loudly. "Whatever you say" Jeffery states pushing out his chair. I roll my eyes before standing up. "I'm going for a walk." I walk back to my room and swipe the key through the slot. I enter my room and see it cleaned. The maid must've come in while we were at breakfast. I sit down on the bed. I hear a faint knock on the door before a small ding. Cade walks in with his eyes glued to his phone. I'm not even sure if he has noticed i was in the room. He walks over to the tv and raises his head. He clicks the tv on before returning his eyes back to his phone. Cade clicks his phone locked and turns around. He looks at me before walking toward me and sitting down. "Hey." he says grabbing the remote and flipping through the channels. "How did you know I was in here?" I ask leaning back against the bed post. "I didn't" He calmly replies keeping his eyes on the tv. "So, didn't I alarm you in any way?" I say raising my eyebrow. "Well, you actually scared the bejesus out of me." He said smiling at me. Man this boy was attractive. He lays next to me, kicking off his shoes. He wears a red t-shirt with dark blue jeans. His scent flows in my nostrils as he re-positions himself. His scent of warm chestnut makes me relax. I don't know how I can trust a boy so well, yet have just met him. But with Cade, I did.
