I blink my eyes open and see Cade laying next to me. His close body generated heat, sending warm feelings up and down my body. I wanted to lay there forever. He gently shifts slightly before repositioning himself to face me. I study his sleeping features. I still didn't know him very well but I could stare at him all day. "Good morning" he whispers with his eyes still shut. Unaware of his consciousness I roll in sudden fear off the bed. I could hear him chuckle before peeking out and down at the floor. "Ha.ha. It's hilarious." I say slowly rising and climbing on the bed once more. "Well?" He says sitting up. "well what?" I say. "well, aren't you gonna say good morning to me?" He says spreading a grin across his face. "good morning." I say pushing him off the bed. I laugh as the blanket falls on top of his face. "Wow I get it now," he says removing the blanket from his face. "that is funny." he says tossing the blanket back at me. He joins my side back on the bed as I turn on my tv. We sit in silence for a few moments, listening to the soft murmur of the television voices. "what time is it?" He asks rubbing his eyes. I look at the clock next to the bed. 11:38 pm. "11:40" I say turning toward him. He squints his eyes. "what?" I say flatly. He gentle places his hand on my shoulder and pushes me back, to see the clock. "it's 11:38 not 11:40." he says looking back back at me. "It's the same thing." I say defending myself. "No it's not, a whole two minutes makes a difference." He says, a smile slowly inching it's way across his face. I could feel mine also crawling to match his. "Like if aliens were to invade, which some day they will, and you had only two minutes to save the world from its complete and utter destruction!, but a beautiful girl that was once struck by lightning, tells you that it is 11:40 instead of 11:38! You give up and the world blows up, and it'd be your fault." he explains with his smile never leaving his face. I turn and look at the floor. I try to hide my blush due to his words. 'Beautiful girl' plays through my mind. I shake away the thought and return to our conversation. "that makes no sense, when would that ever happen?" I say smiling. "Oh it will happen. Just you watch, and when it does I'll be there like I.Told.You.So." he says getting up and stretching. His absence next to me made me shiver. "I'm hungry." He says patting his belly. So was I. "what about you?" you says shuffling his way closer to the door. "well considering the fact that we sleept through an entire day, yes. Yes I am hungry." I respond. He rolls his eyes and picks up his jacket. "what?" I say crossing my arms. "You could've just say yeah." he says giggling. "yeah but-" I start. "come on," he says slipping on his shoes. "where are we going?" I ask also putting on my shoes. "On an adventure!" he says laughing and opening the door. I couldn't help but smile. I walk past him and out the door.
