Annie's P.O.V.

"Hey, is everyone okay?" Anna asked as I walked into the cafeteria and sat down next to Luke.

"Yeah, you're not wearing your normal dorky clothes." Lilia said and I just glared at her. "Oh, you know what I mean." She said rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, I know. I fell in mud." I said shrugging.

"What? Were you outside?" Luke asked.

"Well, no shit Sherlock. There no mud inside." Syd said to her twin and just hit him upside the head.

"Guys I'm fine." I said trying to reassure them.

"Wait, does this have anything to to with you know who?" Syd asked smirking.

"Hold on, what happening?" Anna asked.

"Yeah, is there something we don't know?" Lilia asked looking at me.

"Ugh, fine." I said and then explained the whole thing and it was not easy.

Sydney and Lilia was ecstatic about about me and Asher having a thing that's not a thing. Luke being the protective big brother and telling me all that things that could go wrong. And Anna was like me, basically shitting ourselves.

It's now a little after nine and I already finished my homework and I'm just laying on my bed in my pajamas with a messy bun. I was rereading the fifth Harry Potter book when my phone started buzzing.

I pushed up my glasses and I looked over at it and saw that it was Asher calling me. I sat up a little straighter and cleared my throat and said, "Hello?"

"Hey... I just wanted to apologize about me kinda yelling at you earlier today." Asher said kinda nervously.

"Oh, no it's so totally fine Asher." I said smiling.

"Yeah, but I need to talk to you seriously right now." He said and it sound like he was breathing heavily.

"Okay." I said gulping.

"When will you let me meet you?" Asher asked really fast.

"Oh..." I said pressing my lips together. "I don't know."

"Please, and I can't just keep on calling you Dork when you call me Asher. It's making me feel like a total douche." He said sincerely.

"Your not a douche, Ash. Trust me." I said.

"What will it take for me to talk to you in person?" He asked.

"You not being able to know who I am by looking at me." I said honestly.

There was silence on his end for a minute. "Gotta go." He said quickly and hung up.

"Oh—" I said and just threw my phone in my bed.

Yesterday I found out that I have English and Spanish with Asher and this morning I have Chemistry with him too.

God I've been a few feet away from him for the whole year and it look a bitch to make me realize that he's not the jackass jock as I originally though so.

And now it's lunch and I was looking at him across the cafeteria and he was talking with Carson and Will about something.

"You know, if you don't want Asher to know it's you then you shouldn't stare at him." Lilia whispered.

"Half the girls in here are staring at him." I whispered back.

"Still, you don't seem like the other brainless girls." Syd said.

"Yeah, you stand out." Luke said.

"And that's a good thing." Anna said smiling.

"Yeah, whatever." I said rolling my eyes.

After a few minutes Lilia hit me on the arm and said, "Look look." And pointed towards the popular table and Asher was there standing on top of the table.

"Excuse me, everyone. Can I have your attention please?" I could barely hear him say through all of the other conversations.

"Excuse me." He said again a little louder.

"YO, SHUT UP!" Carson yelled and everyone stopped talking and looked at them. "You got this." Carson said to Asher hitting his leg a little and then sat back down.

I looked to see that Asher's cheeks were lightly pink making him look even more cute. He looked a little nervous which was surprising. There's usually a lot more people looking at him when he's playing in one of his games.

"Uhh- h-hi, I'm Asher as most of you know and as you also may know I'm having my annual Halloween costume at my house Halloween night and instead of needing and invitation to get in I am inviting everyone to come, theater kids, yearbook committee, band gee— kids, band kids. Just anyone who goes to this school is welcome and encouraged to come. Thank you." Asher said and then stepped down.

Syd, Luke, Anna, and Lilia's mouths were open and they slowly turned their heads to look at me.

I looked at the four of them and said, "What?"

"Holly shit." Luke said.

"What?" I whined.

"He's so in love with you." Syd said smiling uncontrollably.

"Sydney." I said rolling my eyes at her.

"Annie." She said back. 

"He changed the conditions of his epic party to meet you." Anna said smiling.

"I already told him that I'm not gonna meet him if he can see m—" I started to say but Lilia cut me off.

"If he can see you in a costume that hides your identity?" Sydney added smirking.

"Oh, fuck you." I said crossing my arms.

"You like him." Lilia said smiling.

"What no I don't." I said trying to convince them but I could feel my cheeks heating up a little.

"You're blushing." Anna whispered making my snap my head towards her.

"He just better treat you right." Luke said protectively.

"So you approve. That's it, you're going, and y'all gonna kiss." Sydney said smiling and didn't say another word.
