Annie's P.O.V.

In English I sit in the back and the teacher was reading out loud to us and we were just suppose to play attention but I was just staring at Asher the whole time.

Since I'm in the back and he is two rows ahead on me and one the the right I could look at the side of his face and the back of his head.

He looks really bored and it's super cute because he's trying to find ways to entertain himself. He was trying to tie his shoe with only one hand and I couldn't help but smile while watching him.

Come on Ash, you can do it. He was just about of finish it when one of the laces fell from his fingers.

"Damn it." He muttered.

It's okay, you can do it again. Just then he looked behind him and I just put my eyes back on the book and pretended that I was following along. I slightly looked up to see that he just put his focus back on his shoe.

That was close...

There was about five minutes left of dance practice when I said, "Can we be done now?" Putting my hands on my hips as I let out a deep breath.

Sydney has a great way of tiring us out with her painful exercises.

"Only if you go and call that hot boy of yours and tell him your gonna be there." Syd said mimicking my stance with a smirk.

"One, he's not my boy, and two, I don't wanna go to his stupid party." I said rolling my eyes and started walking up the hill to the school.

"Come on, you guys obviously like each other." Anna said.

"Oh yeah, what about you and Luke?" Lilia asked as we got to the gym entrance.

"Hey, I thought we were ganging up on Annie?" Anna asked.

"Sorry." She said and we walked into the gym and saw that the boys basketball team was still practicing.

"Look, there he is." Sydney said pointing at a very sweaty Asher dribbling the ball.

"Stop it." I whispered through my teeth and hitting her hand down.

I looked at him and even with sweat dripping down his face he's so adorable. Okay, so remember when I said I didn't have a crush on him, I lied.

But there is no way in hell I would ever admit that to any of my friends or him. That would be social suicide.

After I finished my shift at the diner I was skateboarding home when I pulled out my phone and called Asher.

"Hey." He said and sounded a little out of breath.

"Hi, are you okay?" I asked.

"Uhh, yeah why?" He questioned.

"You just sound like your breathing heavily." I explained.

"Oh yeah, I'm at the gym practicing." He said.

"Your still at the school?" I asked and I kicked again to go a little faster.

"Yeah." He said chuckling a little.

"Okay, so lunch. That was interesting." I said with a small smile.

"Y—yeah, you were there for that?" He questioned.

"Yes, it kinda felt like you were saying that just to me?" I wondered.

"What, no. I just felt that some other people from other social classes could have a good time. And if that includes you then so be it." He said.
