Lenin's POV
"Lenin, let's go. You're gonna be late." My dad yelled as I grabbed my basketball backpack and my school backpack.
I touched up my messy bun before I walked out of my room. I sighed as I walked down the stairs.
"Hey, Flint." I smiled as my Doberman ran up to me. My dad got him for me after he won his first championship.
"Good morning Len." Gigi called from the kitchen.
"Good morning G." I smiled as I hugged her.
"Thank you." I smiled as she handed me a plate full of pancakes.
I sat down at the kitchen island and started to eat my pancakes. I was about to take a bite when my fork was stolen out of my hand.
"Thank you." My dad said as he ate the pancakes.
"You know good and well that was mine." I laughed as he handed me my fork.
"You can share." He smirked before he kissed Gigi on the cheek.
"Morning, momma." He said as she handed him some pancakes.
"Len, you excited for tonight?" Gigi asked as she cleaned up the kitchen.
"Stoked, I found out I made varsity last night." I said making my dad smile.
"Congrats kid." My dad smiled as he gave me a high five.
"Yeah, Mya and I are the only sophomores that made it." I said as I placed my plate in the sink.
"Well that's great hun." Gigi said as she took hers and my dad's plate.
"Since I made the varsity team, can I drive to school in the Bentley?" I asked my dad as I shot him a cheesy smile.
"The Bentley?" My dad asked in shock.
"Yes." I smiled making him sigh.
"Fine." He said as he tossed me the keys to the Bentley.
"Thank you." I smiled before I hugged Gigi.
"Thanks for breakfast G." I smiled as she hugged me.
"You're welcome sweetness. I'll see you tonight." She said sweetly.
"Ok, love you." I said as I grabbed my backpacks.
"Love you both." She said as my dad hugged her.
"Love you momma." My dad said as we walked out of the house.
We walked up to the Bentley and my dad opened the garage door. I threw my backpacks in the backseat before we got in. I got in the driver's side and started the car. I pulled out of the garage before I started to drive to school. I'm 15 and I have my learners permit, so I get to drive with anyone over 18.
"You coming to the game tonight?" I asked as I stopped at a red light.
"Would I miss your first game of the season?" He asked while looking at me like I was crazy.
"Good point." I said as I turned left.
"I might invite your Uncle Zo and your Aunt Mili." He said making me smile.
"Are they bringing Zoey and the twins?" I asked as I drove.
"We'll see tonight." He said before she spoke again. "We're going to Waffle House after the game."
"I mean hey, it's a tradition." I smirked at him as I pulled up to school.
"It is." He smiled as I parked the car.
