*February 4 (Lenin's Birthday)*

Kyle's POV

"Ok, you know the plan don't you?" I asked my mom as she placed the candles in Lenin's pancakes.

"Yes baby, I know." She smiled as I grabbed the glass of orange juice.

"Ok, let's go," I said as we walked out of my huge kitchen.

I smiled as we walked up to Lenin's room. My baby is turning 16 today and I'm going to make it her best birthday yet. My mom, Flint, and I crept up to her room. My mom smiled at me as we arrived at her door. I smiled and swung the door open.

"Good morning sports fans," I yelled as she buried her head in her pillows.

She smiled and sat up as we started to sing Happy Birthday.

"Thank you, guys." She smiled as we finished the song.

"Happy birthday baby." I smiled as I hugged her.

"Thanks, dad." She smiled and my mom hugged her.

"Happy birthday sweetie." My mom smiled as she kissed her granddaughter's forehead.

"Thanks, G." Lenin smiled before she started to eat her breakfast.

We talked to Lenin while she ate. She didn't have to rush because she didn't have to be at school early. She's going to take her driver's test before she goes to school.

"Hey kid, Gigi is gonna take you to take your driver's test," I told Lenin making her look at me.

"I thought you were gonna take me." She said as she looked at me.

"I know, but I got called into a meeting this morning. I tried to get out of it, but they claimed it was urgent." I said feeling bad.

"Wait, you're not getting traded, are you?" She asked with a worried tone.

"No, no. It's a meeting with Nike and marketing and stuff like that. I'm sorry I can't make it kid." I said making her nod.

"It's fine. I understand." She said in a sweet tone.

"Thanks, kid." I smiled as I looked at my now 16-year-old.

Lenin finished eating before she got up to get ready for her test. I helped my mom clean up downstairs while Lenin got ready.

"You played that off well." My mom said as I placed a dish in the dishwasher.

"I played what off well?" I asked, looking down at her.

"I'm sorry, baby, but Gigi is gonna take you. I have a meeting." She mocked me making me smile.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, but ok." I smiled and looked at my mom.

"You're not sly Kyle. I know you." My mom smirked before she walked out of the kitchen.

I fixed a few things up in the kitchen before Lenin came walking down the stairs.

"Well, don't you look cute," I said to Lenin as I walked out of the kitchen.
