A/N: I love his curly hair ngl🥴

*February 14th (Ten years since Alivia's Death)*

Kyle's POV

My hands shook as I buttoned up my dress shirt. This day has always been my least favorite. On this day 10 years ago, the love of my life was taken from me. The one person that I thought I would marry, raise kids with and grow old with, stolen right out of my hands. My person and my love was taken from me by the bitch that we call cancer. Every year, this day makes my heart hurt. This year though, it hurts even worse. It's been 10 years. Ten freaking years without my love. I believe that the only reason I have stayed sane is Lenin. That girl is my rock and my life. She saved me.

I sighed as I fixed my tie and my suit jacket. Today, we are holding a memorial for Alivia at the gravesite. I was fixing my cuff links when there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," I said as I looked at my links.

"Hey baby," My mom smiled as she walked in.

"Hey, mom," I replied as I played with my curls.

"You look sharp." She said as she smoothed out my jacket.

"Thank you, you look beautiful," I said as she tightened my tie.

"You ok?" She asked as she looked up at me.

"I'll be fine." I sighed as I grabbed my cologne.

"I know it hurts, baby. I'm sorry you have to deal with this." She spoke as I sprayed on my cologne.

"Thanks, mom. It still feels weird not having her around. Damn, I miss her." I sighed as I finished getting ready.

"We all do. She was a beautiful soul that was gone too soon." I heard her sigh.

"I agree, but yanno what? Today is a day to celebrate her and that is what we are going to do." I shot her a kinda fake smile.

"That's my boy. We're gonna make the best out of this day." She smiled as she looked at me. "We're ready downstairs whenever you are."

I sighed as I watched her leave my room. I took one last look in my mirror before I grabbed my phone and wallet. I walked downstairs. and met my family. I smiled as Flint ran up to me. I smiled as Lenin walked up to me. She hugged me and I kissed her head.

"You ready?" She asked as she handed me the keys to her G Wagon.

"Yeah," I said as I took the keys from her.

We walked out of our house and got in Lenin's G Wagon. I sighed as I started the foreign car. I pulled out of our driveway and started to drive towards the gravesite. The car ride was mostly quiet, but it was peaceful. I was able to gather my thoughts as I drove. We finally pulled up to the gravesite and a lot of people were there. It was mainly a lot of people that are close to Lenin and me and the people that were at Alivia's funeral. We got out and as we walked in we got hugs and words of encouragement from people.

"Hey, beautiful." I smiled as I hugged Mili.

"You doing ok?" She gave me a look of sympathy.

"I'm holding up. You?" I gave her a reassuring smile.

"I just can't believe it's been 10 years." She sighed as she looked at the decorations that were set up around Alivia's gravesite.

"Too fast," I spoke as I looked at her grave.

"Yet so slow." She added.

"Exactly." I sighed.

I spoke to a few more people before they took their seats around the grave. Lenin hugged me before I stood up to speak.
