Kyle's POV

I sighed as I watched people walk into our house. My hands clutched on 4 of Alivia's letters. Lenin made me get all the people that Alivia wrote letters to together. She said that she noticed something about the letters. What? I don't know but I'll let her take a shot at it anyways. I smiled as Zara and Zane ran towards me.

"Hey, guys." I smiled as I picked them up.

"How you doing bro?" Zo asked as he took Zara in his arms.

"Getting there." I paused before I spoke again. "I can't believe it's been ten years."

"I miss her." He sighed as he watched his brothers walk in.

"You and me both." I sighed as my vision averted to the picture of Alivia and I hung on the wall.

"What's Lenin's deal with the letters?" Zo asked as he played with Zane.

"Not sure, she wouldn't tell me," I said as I looked at my daughter.

Zo and I talked until everyone was inside my house. I was talking to Zo about basketball when I heard my daughter speak up.

"Ok, everyone sit down and place your letters on the table for me." She announced and everyone obeyed.

"So my dad and I were reading his letter from my mom the other day and I realized something that may help all of us right now." She spoke with confidence.

I watched as Mili shot me a look.

"You read it?" She mouthed.

I gave her a small nod before I heard my name.

"Dad, will you come put these in order?" She asked making me stand up.

I sighed as I stood up. I looked down at the 8 Letters on our coffee table. Memories of when I first received these letters flooded my head.

*Flashback*

"There are letters in the bedside table behind you. There's 8 of them. The first 4 I want you to keep. The other four I want you to deliver to the person on the envelope." She said as she started to cry.

"Babe you're scaring me." I said as I sat up.

"I love you. I always have and I always will, but it's my time." She told me making me realize what is happening.

"Babe, no, you're not dying today. I need you." I cried as scary thoughts filled my head.

"Consider this as a see you later not a goodbye. Go find yourself a wife who loves you as much as I do. I love you with all of my heart." She cried as her breathing shortened.

"Babe, no, I love you." I grabbed her small body and quickly hit the emergency button above her head.

"I'll see you later. I love you." Her voice softened as she started to close her eyes.

"I love you too." I cried as my heart shattered into a million pieces.

*End Of Flashback*

My hands shook as I put the letters in the order they were given to me in. I sighed as I looked at the letters.

"I knew it." Lenin smiled as she looked at the letters. "The first letter of each letter title spell I Love You."

My mouth opened as I looked at the letters. I have had half these letters for a decade and I did not notice. My ears perked up as Lenin spoke again.

"She loved each and every one of you. Even if she never said it, she loved us all." Lenin smiled as people looked at the letters. I was watching my daughter when someone walked up to me.

"So, you read it after 10 years?" Mili asked as she watched Lenin.

"Yeah, we read it together." I sighed as I thought about two nights ago.

"What did it say?" She asked as she looked up at me.

"It was an explanation. Why she was the way she was and a thank you." I sighed as I thought about her words.

"I told you that when she wanted to she would tell you everything." She spoke making me nod.

"She did. Thank you." I said as I looked at Mili.

"You're welcome." She smiled before she hugged me.

We let go before I walked up to Lenin.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" I asked. She turned to me and nodded.

We stepped into the kitchen away from everyone.

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm proud of you. For being so smart like your mother and for handling yourself so well this weekend." I spoke making her smile.

"Thanks, dad." I smiled as she hugged me.

"I love you, kid," I spoke as I held my daughter.

"I love you, dad."

The End

A/N
Guyssssss that's the end of Distrust and After You. Kind of a short chapter, but I think it ends the series on a good note. It's crazy to think that I've finished these stories. I've been writing these stories for over a year and I've fallen so in love with them. Thank you guys for reading and giving these books so much love and support. I was looking at the rankings on Distrust today and it's #10 in basketball. Like wtf thank you, guys. I love you all and I hope you love the books as much as I do. After this book, I am starting a Grayson Dolan book and then a Klay Thompson book after that. Keep an eye out for those😉. Ok, love you all. I hope you enjoyed Distrust and After You.
