Lenin's POV
I groaned as I studied for my Spanish test tomorrow. It's a big test on verbs and I can't seem to remember anything.
"Shit." I groaned as I got a question wrong.
I sighed as I tried to remember everything but nothing was sticking. I was writing down some notes when my phone dinged.
Donny: FaceTime?
Lenin: can't studying for Spanish tomorrow
Donny: nothing sticking?
Lenin: Yeah😒
Donny: try taking a break
Lenin: already taken 3 of those
Donny: Damn, sorry babe. Wish I could be more help
Lenin: don't be I'll figure it out
Donny: see you tomorrow?
Lenin: Yeah
Donny: ok, good luck
Lenin: Thanks good night
Donny: you too
I changed the song that was playing before I went back at it.
"Oh my god." I groaned as I got another question wrong.
I was ready to cry or scream. I'm not 100 percent sure which one, but either would help. I was studying the -ar verbs when there was a knock at the door.
"Come in." I called as I looked up from my laptop.
"Hey, you ok?" My dad stuck his head in my room.
"Honestly, no, I can't remember any of this Spanish." I sighed as I laid my head on my head board.
"You wanna take a break?" My dad asked as he sat on my bed.
"I've taken like 3." I sighed as I looked down at my computer.
"Well you haven't taken one with me." He stood up and extended his hand to me.
"Where are we going?" I took his hand and got out of bed.
"Don't worry about that, just go put a hoodie on and meet me downstairs." He told me before he left.
I sighed as I walked to my closet. I threw on one of Donny's hoodies before I grabbed my phone and wallet. I walked downstairs to hear a car running. I walked out into the garage to see my dad in his old Jeep. I smiled and got in.
"What made you wanna drive this?" I asked as he pulled out of our driveway.
"Thought it would be fun to roll around in a Jeep." He said making me cringe.
"First of all, no one has said roll around since you adopted me." I laughed. "But, seriously, you haven't driven this in so long."
"I don't know. Just wanted something chill. Not too flashy." He shrugged as he drove.
"Where are going anyways?" I asked as I watched the street lights pass by us.
"Sonic." He smirked making me smile.
"Does not shock me." I gave a small laugh.
We talked about random stuff while my dad drove. I laughed as my dad made a stupid joke. He drove until we pulled up to Sonic. My dad parked at one of the car hop stands. We ordered before my dad and I got out of the Jeep. I smiled as he opened the back and we sat down.
