*New Year's Eve*

Kyle's POV

"Should I even go to this?" I asked Lenin as I fixed my curled hair.

"Yes, because you need a night off." She said as she sat on my bed.

I got invited to a New Year's Eve party tonight and I don't know if I really want to go. Lenin was talking to me while I was getting ready. She was trying to convince that I should go.

"Babe, I'm a dad. I don't get a night off." I explained to her as I finished fixing my hair.

"That's why you need one. You're a part time Laker and full time dad." She explained as I walked to my closet.

"I just don't want to leave you and Gigi alone." I told her as I looked through my racks of clothes.

"You literally leave us alone for a week at a time." She explained chuckling lightly.

"Thanks for making me feel good about it." I spoke with a note of sarcasm.

"Dad seriously, go have fun with your teammates. We'll be ok here." She explained making me sigh.

"Fine." I sighed as I grabbed two shirts. "Which shirt?"

"The Dolce And Gabbana one." She said as she pointed at the shirt in my left hand.

"With black pants?" I asked as I looked through my pants.

"And white shoes." She paused before she spoke again. "And chains."

I sighed as I had my outfit laid out on my bed. I walked into the bathroom and changed my pants before I walked back out. I sighed as I took my shirt off. I buttoned up my shirt but left a few buttons undone. Lenin talked to me about school while I put on my socks and shoes.

"How do I look?" I asked as I showed Lenin my full outfit.

"You look party ready

"You look party ready." Lenin smiled as she fixed my chains.

"Are you sure you'll be ok?" I asked as I watched her smooth out my shirt.

"Yes dad. I'll be fine. Just go and have a good time. You deserve it. You work so hard." She said as she placed her hands on my stomach.

"Thanks kid. You're the best." I smiled as I pulled her in for a hug.

"Thank you. You have to get going." My daughter smiled as she pointed at me.

"Ok, ok. I'm going." I threw my hands up in defeat.

I grabbed my wallet, phone, and keys before Lenin and I walked downstairs.

"Bye momma." I smiled as I hugged my mom.

"Bye baby. Be safe. Love you." She said as we hugged.

"Love you mom. And I love you kid." I said as I pulled Lenin into my body.
