Claudia Today is the game. All tickets were SOLD OUT. Meaning there will be 55k or more fans. Damn. "Hey cutie" alex says. "Hey kid" i say chuckling as i put my bag in the back then close the door and get in the passenger seat. I put my seatbelt on and he pulls out the driveway. "Now officially goodmoring" he says and pecks my cheek. "Goodmorning" i say chuckling. "We're going to pick up cody after starbucks" he says and i nod. So weve been together for two months now. Doc is the only one who knows. Oh and well vic. "Okay" i say as he interlocks our fingers. We soon get to starbucks and he parks. I put my hand on his chin and make him look at me then i kiss him. "Morning babe" i say chuckling then get off.
We go inside and order then we go sit outside. "How are you feeling?" He asks. "I'm nervous" i say. "Why?" He asks. "We've never played with such a big crowd" i say. "The stadium alone was intimidating at first still a bit now" i say. "You'll do fine. You'll be doing this on the daily in a short time" he says and i nod. So I'm signing with the dodgers tomorrow.

"Pregame tings"
"Lets go" he says and we get up going to his car. We then go pick up cody. We got him a drink too. "Can we just tell him?" Alex asks. "Sure" i say. We get to Cody's place and alex honks. Cody shorly comes out he looks half asleep. He gets in the car and rubs his face. MOOD. "Morning" he says. "Morning" we say. "Here ya go belli" i say. "Oh thanks" he says. "No problem" i say. The beginning of the car ride is quiet. "So hm we're dating" alex says and my eyes widen and i start coughing. "Are you okay?" Alex asks and pats my back. I calm down and take a sip of my drink. "I mean i sorta knew something was up. You went from nonstop talking about her to not talking as much" he says and i laugh. "You're keeping dugie sane so thats great" cody says and i laugh. "Who knows?" He asks.
"This is their starting lineup" he says taking out a paper. "1st Joc Pederson , 2nd Chris Taylor , 3rd Alex Verdugo , 4th Cody Bellinger , 5th Corey Seager , 6th Max Muncy , 7th Enrique Hernandez , 8th Austin Barnes and 9th Julio Urias" he says and my eyes widen. "Oo they're coming in hot" i say chuckling. "They are" abby and nicole agree. "Our lineup , 1st Abby , 2nd Kim , 3rd Clau , 4th Nicole , 5th Karla , 6th Nat , 7th Vic , 8th Alyssa and Pitching Jamie" he says and we nod. We warm up then do BP. So alex and i decided to choose eachothers walk up song. I have NO idea what song he picked nor does he know about the song i picked for him. It will be revealed when we get to batting.
"Head in the game , it's all fun and games but be serious. These guys are fucking pros. They're icons. They will destroy us. At least lets try and kick their asses. Lets show them we can play. Lets show them we can handle them. Lets show them we ain't no little girls" i say and we all put our hands in the middle. "Also keep in mind 99% of the people here are rooting for them so lets also show them we the shit" i say and they laugh. "1..2..3 Romans" we say and chuckle. We then do our individual highfives. "Here's your girls in blue line up 1st Abigail Garcia , 2nd Kimberly Jenson , 3rd Claudia Tihan , 4th Nicole Taylor , 5th Karla Hernandez , 6th Natalie Lopez , 7th Victoria Yuri , 8th Alyssa Rodgers and Pitching Jamie Jones" the p.a says. Lowkey was expecting it to be crickets but no they cheered. "Heads or tails?" Coach asks. "Tails" we say and he nods walking out of the bullpen. "Coaches will flip a coin and winner will be batting first" a guy with the mic says as its being shown on the screens. "Heads" doc says. "Tails" coach says and the coin gets flipped. I HOPE they go first. "Heads" the guy says and i chuckle. We do the pledge of allegiance then doc does a small speech.
"I just want to say thank you not only to you the fans for coming out but to the teams. Thank you for taking time out of your break to come and play in this special charitable game. Thank you for being a part of this event" is his ending of speech. He finishes and we clap. Each team goes back to the bullpen we get our gloves and necessities aka just our gloves and hats. It's currently 7:05pm. 5 min to game time. "Taking the field your Girls in Blue" the p.a says and the fans cheer. Jamie walks out first then the infield girls. Before walking out. Quick prayer. As soon as i step foot on the field is game on bitches. I get to centerfield and throw to nicole. "Claudiaaaa" i hear from the stands. This is very intimidating. Whenever we play left and right field pavilion are empty.
We got told when we finish warm up to throw the ball to a fan. Nicole throws me the ball and i choose right field. I throw it to a guy who has a shirt saying "can i get a ball for my sister" with an arrow pointing at a girl. "Thank you" he yells and i give him a thumbs up. Now back to game mode. "Number 31 Joc Pederson" the p.a says and we will rock you plays as the fans cheer. First pitch 7:10pm. 1st a strike. 2nd a ball. 3rd a strike. 4th foul ball. 5th a strike. "Number 3 Chris Taylor" the p.a says and fans cheer as his walkup song plays. 1st a ball. 2nd a strike. 3rd a foul ball. 4th he makes contact and its a single. Wtf. Okay so for Alex's song i picked the cotton eye joe. Its a long story but this song is HILARIOUS for us. "Number 27 Alex Verdugo" the p.a says and the song plays. I bring my glove up to cover my mouth and laugh. I'm immature in this way honestly.
He looks at me shaking his head chuckling. I'm DYING. Like literally crying. I tip my hat off to him and he laughs. I wipe the tears still laughing. I look at the guys and they're also laughing. He calls time and calms himself down. I compose myself and game time again. 1st a ball. 2nd a ball. 3rd a strike. 4th a foul ball. 5th a strike. 6th makes contact and the ball comes to me. Sorry babe. I run to the back and catch it. No home run for dugie. My bad. I throw it to Karla and she gets chris out. Two outs yes bitch. Oh hell nah. "Number 35 Cody Bellinger" the p.a says. Wtf. Why cody? Why? Couldn't they put someone else? Someone who isn't mvp? 1st A ball. 2nd foul. 3rd foul. 4th a strike. 5th she hits him with a switch up curve ball strike. 6th A ball. 7th he makes contact left field nat gets it. 3 outs our turn.
"Number 27 Claudia Tihan" the p.a says and the veggietales theme song plays and i chuckle looking at Alex. Anywho let me give you the real tea. The guys ain't fucking around. They aren't treating us different. Which is why theres 2 outs already. Both strikeouts. I get to the plate and fuck. IT JUST HITS YOU. I'm playing against PRO BASEBALL PLAYERS. I try calming by breathing then ask for time. I step off the plate and concentrate. "Head in the game clau , you got this. Focus on the ball and let it be known you that bitch" i tell myself in my head. I get back on plate and Julio throws the first pitch. "Strike" ump says. Okay okay. Second pitch comes. "Strike" okay i see you Julio. Next i got chu don't worry. Third pitch i make STRONG contact causing the bat to break.
It heads for centerfield as i start walking i see alex run. Lights go off and fans cheer. Home run bitch LETS GO. I run to first base then as i run to second base alex looks at me and chuckles. "She can play" kike says as i get to second base. "She can" i say and chuckle. I finish running the bases then go to the bullpen. I take a sip of water then its our turn again. 1-0 score, 2nd inning time. Lets just say second inning was long. 3-1. Bottom second inning score 3-1. 3rd inning 4-1 , bottom inning 4-1. 4th inning 5-1 ,bottom inning 5-4. 5th inning 5-4 , bottom inning 5-4. 6th inning 6-4 , bottom 6-6. 7th inning 9-6 , bottom 9-9. 8th inning 10-9 , bottom 10-12. 9th inning 12-12 ,bottom 12-12. 10th inning 12-12 , bottom inning 12-12. 11th inning 12-12 , bottom 12-12. 12th inning 13-12 ,bottom 13-13. 13th inning 13-13 , bottom 13-14.
We won. I'm EXHAUSTED. I may or may not have made 4 home runs tonight. It's 1am right now. We've NEVER played this late. Lowkey lost some hope.
