As I got dinner ready, Chris came in the kitchen and got a soda from the fridge, he leaned back on the counter and watched me cook, taking sips from his beverage.

"I'm s-"

I cut him off.

"Save it, Chris. Let's not talk about this right now, not around the girls..."

"-sighs- they're upstairs in the spare room watching a movie...I know what I did was wrong-"

"Then why'd you do it? Because you know that I'm weak enough to forgive you and then what? You'll do the same thing again," I sniffle and wipe my eyes.

I continue to stir the spaghetti noodles in the pot, Chris takes the spoon out of my hand and puts it on the counter, he then turns me around and wraps his arms around my waist.

He looks into my eyes and says,

"While you were gone, I completely lost it, I wanted you and Tyler to stay home and spend time with me...I had a big fit when you left...then it hit me, if I continue to do the shit I do, I'm eventually gonna lose you, and I wouldn't see Tyler as much because we'd be living far away if you left me. I don't want you to leave me, I want you and only you, I'm gonna be a better man, and I know I've said it before, but I'm fucking serious about it, we're married and we have a son together, I love both of you,"

His words spiraled in my head, I wasn't sure if I should believe him or not, like I said, I was weak enough to believe him right on the spot. I was being really hesitant.

"Please?" He begged as he dug his head in my neck.

"This is the last time,Chris...if you mess up again...we're done, I love you, but I'm not going to continue to be treated this way," I spoke.

He looked into my eyes and smiled, then he softly plants his lips on mine, making a passionate kiss between us.

"Ooooohhh"

We broke the kiss and saw the girls standing in the entrance of the kitchen, giggling, we laughed and I kicked all of them out while I finished cooking.

After dinner was finished, we all sat in the living room, watching Edward Scissor hands. I sat on the floor between Chris's legs, while he sat on the couch, the girls were on the floor too.

"This is great, Liz," Brionna spoke as she finish her supper.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it," I spoke up.

"So, Riot, is that your real name, or do you just call yourself that?" Chris asked.

"I just call myself that," she responded.

"Why?" He asked.

"I don't tell anyone my real name, I like to keep things as private as possible, no one knows my name except the people who produced me,"

"Your sister knows your name, right?" I added as I pointed to Brionna.

They stared at each other, and laughed hysterically.

"We're not sisters, just best friends," Brionna spoke up, trying to keep from laughing.

"But we act like sisters," Riot butted in.

"Where are your parents anyway?" Chris asked.

Everything got quiet, and awkward. Riot and Brionna looked down at their platet, then Brionna got up and ran upstairs.

"Chris, that's a very sensitive subject!" I scolded him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know, I was just trying to keep up the conversation!"

I set my plate on the floor and ran up the stairs, and knocked on the bedroom door.

"I'll be out in a minute," I could tell she was crying.

I opened the door and closed it behind me and sat next to her on the bed.

"I'm sorry, he didn't know," I explained.

"It's not his fault, it's just, I'm really sensitive when it comes to talking about my parents, and so is Riot, but she takes it better than me, she's stronger than me," she cried into her palms. I wrapped my arms around her, and patted her back.

"You're strong too, crying is just your way of expressing how you feel, mainly because you probably don't have anyone that'll listen and actually care,"

"How'd you know...."

"I was your age too...listen...I'll tell you my story if you tell me yours, but it doesn't have to be now,"

"Okay...but I can tell you now, yours is probably not as a bad as mine,"

I calmed her down, and gave her some clothes to wear after she showers. I went downstairs, and did the same for Riot, she went upstairs to our other bathroom. Chris and I start to wash the dishes together.

"I feel so bad, I made her cry...not a good first impression," he spoke up.

"She's fine, just don't bring up anything about their parents, they're not comfortable with talking about that subject...Not just yet any way,"

"Why are they staying with us again?"

"Because, they're homeless, don't ask why because I don't know either,"

Chris nodded and handed me another dish, I wash it and put it away, we continue doing this and finish cleaning the kitchen then went up to the bedroom to check on the girls. We knocked on the door before entering.

"How are you girls?" Chris asked as we cracked open the door.

"We're good, thanks a lot! We love it here!" Brionna spoke up.

"That's good, make your self at home, there are really no rules, except for knocking on the doors, and be nice and respectful," I said in a stern, yet sweet tone.

The girls nodded, and watched tv, they could fit my old clothes perfectly. We closed their door and raced each other down hallway to our bedroom.

"Get the handcuffs!" Chris yelled out.
