==> Leo
❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄❄
The longest six hours of your life were the ones you spent getting back to camp. You would pilot the boat for a bit, then watch Luna. Then back to the wheel, then to Luna.
Eventually, Willow just took over the wheel so you could spend your time watching Luna. Was it kind of creepy? Yea, watching her sleep was weird. But... It was comforting. Seeing her breath rise and fall was a sign she was still alive; that you still had something left. You lost a lot- your mom, a lot of your friends in the foster system and at schools... It relieved a lot of anxiety for you knowing that you still had Luna.
You remember the day you first met her. The way her auburn eyes were stone cold, glaring into you as you examined her walkman. Her voice was monotone when she spoke English to you. She had that constant bitch face. She was pretty intimidating for someone so small and shy. Then, there was the day you talked at the dock; when neither of you could sleep. Where you truly, truly got to know her. The way her eyes softened when she looked at you, as you spoke about your mom; The way that from then on out she was... Nicer to you. She got more comfortable with you, and you to her. She used to hang out with you in the bunker, teach you Russian and let you listen to her music ("Moskau is a German song about Russians, I don't know what the lyrics mean, Leo.") Music was sacred to her, she always talked about how it was important to her.
You realized you liked her the night in the car, on the way to the lotus. When she was wrapped in her cat blanket, leaning on you, watching you mess with some fidget cube out of boredom... It felt right, in a way you hadn't felt before with your past crushes. To everyone else she was some weird creepy bitch, and... yea she's still a weird creepy bitch. Neither of you were perfect, but it was enough for you to realize you liked her... A lot.The sun rose as you and Willow treked back to camp. You carried Luna, and Willow carried the rest of your guys' stuff. No one was up yet, luckily, so you could didn't have any questions to answer, or crowds to deal with. Luna was no longer stiff, she was just... Asleep. In a coma, essentially. She was shockingly light for someone like her. You could carry her easily.
"Put her in the Hypnos cabin." Willow said quietly to you. "We can monitor her there. I'll update Chiron in the morning. You should get some rest... You've earned it." She smiled at you.
You smiled back half heartedly, looking down at your feet. She sighed and placed a warm hand on your shoulder. You immediately relaxed. Mother's touch. Willow was a natural maternal figure.
"Leo, I don't know how long she's going to be asleep. But... She's fine. She's going to be okay. You need to rest.""I know." You replied quietly. "Just uh.. You know, my girlfriend is in a coma. Can't really be too optimistic there." You laughed sadly, and walked up the porch to her cabin. Willow crossed her arms.
"Girlfriend? Since when?" She asked. You blushed. Oopsie. She didn't know about you two? It was kinda obvious to literally everyone. You looked away, clicking your tongue.
"Uh... Yea...! We're a thing..."
"Since when?" She repeated.
"Since like... Three days ago?"
Willow gives you the mom look. Like a "break her heart, I break your spine." Type of look. You gulped.
"Alright." She smirked, seeing the fear in your eyes. She turned on her heel and walked off. "Goodnight."
"Night."
You headed inside Luna's cabin, setting her down on the bed. You were greeted by Fez, who had been sleeping on a pile of scrunchies. The small dragon looked up at you, and you looked back at it.
