SayaThe second I sat in the car my phone pinged, I checked the notification and saw that Marcus had sent me his address. My already permanent smile grew even more, I'm so ready to spend some time with him.
I put his coordinates, as I liked to call them, into the GPS and started on my way to his house. My car sprang to life as my premade playlist began to play through the speakers. Sage the Gemini's voice filled my ears as I sang along to the lyrics, dancing to the beat.
Marcus had only lived about twenty minutes away from me. He lived in a gated community, from what I could see from behind that gat the houses looked like castles. I pulled up to a small booth where a man sat looking bored out of his mind.
He wore a black jumpsuit a name engraved into his clothes as he stared off into space. A pool of sweat covered his bald, greasy head. The wrinkles on his skin added aged to his pale complexion. He seemed to be no older than thirty but looked as if he was close to hitting fifty.
"Hello ma'am, welcome to NorthWest Estates. Do you have a visitor's pass?" The man asked turning to type something into the computer.
"No, sorry I don't have a visitor's pass. I came to visit a friend," I know very well I did not drive up here to not get into this Estate.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I can't-" the phone beside him rang causing him to pause and pick it up.
I sat back in my seat I'm hoping I can get into this Estate if I jump the fence and run as fast as I can make it in and hide before-
"Excuse me, ma'am?" My head snapped up, startled at the voice interrupting my thoughts.
"Yes, you know you don't have to call me ma'am. My name is Saya," I shot him a smile, his face still held the same bored expression.
"It is company policy that I call you ma'am, but besides that, a young man has called to let you in." Before I could respond, the gates slid open. I drove through the spacious neighborhood.
Each house had to be at least five or six stories. I looked around the house numbers trying to find Marcus's house, mansion I should say. After about ten minutes of looking, I finally found his 'mansion'. I pulled into the long, intricate, driveway leading into the house. I parked in one of the open spaces and stepped out. I circled my car on the way to the front door.
I took a deep breath before ringing to the doorbell to the large house. Feeling poorer with every second that I stood in front of the house. A few seconds later, Marcus opened the door. He stood in grey joggers and a muscle tee. "Hi Saya, was your drive up here ok?" he moved to the side letting inside his home, my breath caught in my throat. I'm tryna figure out if it is for the clothes he has on or the size of the house from the inside.
"The drive was fine, thank you. Damn, Marcus, you stay looking fine," he blushed and turned away from me.
I giggled a moved in front of him. "So what do you want to do?"
"We can watch a movie in the theater if you want," he responded.
"You have your own theater?!"
He chuckled before walking into a long hallway.
"It's this way, c' mon," I followed him through the house, like a little kid walking through a candy store. We finally made our way into the theater.
The room looked like a small movie theater. The walls were dark brown wood, sound enhancers circled the room. The large TV was almost the size of the wall giving the movie theater effect. The bottom floor of the chairs was a huge couch that stretched out like a bed. The black couch sat with a folded black fur blanket.
