Alex's pov:

My parents have been off ever since Jack left. They been happier...? Like something was lefted off their shoulders.

They also been asking questions about Jack, like if I like him, when we met or how we met.

I don't like him, we met my first day and I was bitch to him. At least I think I don't like him.

I would like to be friends with Jack from now on though, now that I seen the otherside of him I realize he's a real person who I can become friends with, and it really was an act.

I just wish I gotten his number, that would have been a smart idea. Maybe I should head to his house amd maybe finish our project.

Yeah. I'll do that actually.

"Mom! I'm going to Jack's!" I yell while heading to the front door.

"Okay, I work until 10 tonight! Your day is working all night." I make a mental note of that of head to Jacks, I hope I can remember where it is. I only been there to work on the project and nothing more.

Once I finally made my way, I find his house but the vibe is kind of off from the first time I went.

I sigh but walk up and knock.

A older woman, who is for Sure not May, opens the door. Might be his mother.

"Hello, I'm Alex. Is Jack here?" I ask politely since it is still an adult.

"Oh your Alex. Come on in." She says in a welcoming yet small voice.

After a bit of small talk I head to Jack's room and don't even brother knocking.

As soon as I open the door I see the shirtless boy still sleeping. I check my phone and see that's it's 3pm, then a idea popped into my head.

I set my phone down then jump on Jacks bed and start tickling his stomach. Tommy used to do this to me all the time when I didn't wake up.

"What the- Alex? Ale- Alex I can't, can't breathe." I have him dieing of laugh begging me to stop, which I did only so he didn't die.

"Hi." I say innocently, Jack just rolls his eyes at me and on the sits up leaving me staring at his chest.

He doesn't have a 6 pack or anything, but something about his figure catches my eye. I hurry look back up at him before he noticed what I was doing or stareing at.

"What are you even doing here?" He mumbles tiredly and rubs his face gently.

"I was bored, I didn't have your number and I wasn't going to wait til Monday. So what are you doing today?"

"Mm, I have to go job searching."

"Well I'm going with. I'm bored and having nothing planned." I inform him with a goofy grin.

"Fine, but I want 5 more minutes."

"Jack it's 3 in the afternoon."

"Well fuck."

"Do you say fuck a lot?"

"In my head yes." He gets up and reveals he's in boxers which I didn't really mind since I sleep the same.

I had to play with my hands to distract myself from watching him get dressed. Why would I even stare? It's not like I have a crush on him. He's straight anyway.

"Okay done. Let's go before we bump into my family." I look at Jack and see him wearing a boner shirt that fits his upper body well, a little tight, along with a flannel along with black jeans.

Before I can comment on the shirt he drags me to the front door until we're stopped.

"Jack where are you going?" The older lady from before asks.

"Job searching. Y'know something you don't have at the momment." Jack glares at her and pushes us out the door.

I almost stopped in my tracks, I'd never say that to my mother.

"Ugh fuck!" Jack says as soon as we close the door.

"What?"

"I shouldn't have said that. I'm just mad at her for something she said. Shit."

"Well, go say sorry."

"I don't know... I will later. Let's go."

"Fine."

He takes my hand which I didn't complain, and zooms us to his backyard where some bikes are located.

I pick a green one while Jack picks red and I just follow him since I don't know this place well enough to lead.

"So what kind of job are you looking for?" I ask once I match his speed.

"One where I only have to work part time and has a fair pay." He smiles at me.

I smile back, Jack's smile is contiguous for sure.
_________

After a few job interviews we decided to take a break and go to a coffeeshop.

It was cute, it had mint green walls with pink chairs and baby blue tables. Jack told me he used to come here all the time with his sister May when they were younger. Money was easier so they could do that back then just not as often now.

"My brother and I never really went to small coffee shops like this. He would actully take me to concerts though. He would teach me guitar or how to write songs." I smile softly at the thought.

"How come I didn't meet your brother?" Jack asks with a confused look.

"Well um. He passed away." My smile drops a little but I hide it. I don't need people to know I'm not over him.

"Oh. I'm sorry Le- Alex."

Wait he hadn't called me Lex all day.

"Why aren't you calling me Lex anymore?"

"You actully want me to call you Lex now?"

"Well, I don't know. I guess I got used to it again. I kinda missed that nickname." I shrug feeling a bit thrown off.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"You just did."

"No you fucktard.... Who else called you Lex?"

My breathe hitched and I took a deep breathe before answering. "Tommy. My brother."

"Oh. I'm so sorry. I should I have never called you that after you asked me to stop."

"Jack it's okay."

Silence.

"You have nice eyes." He saids randomly. "I like them."

"Thanks?" I chuckle, "I like your smile."

"Well my smile just so happens to like you to." He jokes.

"That's gay."

"Your gay."

Oh shit I AM gay.

I just laugh it off, not knowing how he would react to me beinging a homosexual.
____________

When I got home, I made a small phone call. A little surprise for Jack, hopes he likes it.
