Lullabies | Chapter 12

Jack's POV

Today is going by so slow. I'm ready to hear Alex sing. At least I have one bell left.

I heard him sing before, but I love to hear that voice. I love his smile, figure, eyes and so much more. When he kissed my cheek I felt like I was gonna explode!

I have so many feelings for this boy, he's always on my mind to where it feels unhealthy.

The bell finally rang and the speakers told everyone to meet in the gym. Instead I decided to see Alex, once I found him he was breathing a little heavier than usual.

"Alex are you okay?" I ran towards him and sat next to him. That's when I noticed he had silent tears falling...

Alex's pov

"Alex are you okay?" I knew it Jack. But I could barely see, the walls were closing in.

Panic attack.

"Shit..." Jack mumbled. "Alex I know you can hear me... Listen to my voice and take deep breathes."

I try to steady my breathing, but I couldn't help but to focus on Jack's voice instead.

Something about it is just so relaxing. But it didn't calm me down, I still could barely breathe nor see straight.

Jack noticed and tried to calm me down until he didn't know what to do anymore. He was freaking out.

"Zack!!" Jack called out. "Hurry!"

Soon Zack had to go over some exercises with me, then he took out my anxiety pills which I don't take them daily, but only when my anxiety is up.

Jack caught on and went to grab me some water, once he came back he came me the water and Zack gave me the pills. After the exercises I felt a more at ease.

The medicine took a little time to kick in, but I have 10 minutes left until I play...

I don't think I can do it.

"Jack, I don't think I can do this anymore." I felt my eyes water, I was so excited to do this, but I'm so scared I'm going to fuck it up...

"Oh Lex, you can do this. I know you can. I know you have a amazing voice. The world deserves to hear, and if you don't do it for yourself, do it for me, for Baltimore."

"Ugh fuck life. It's to hard." I sighed while grabbing my guitar.

"I'll be back stage okay?" Jack tested his hands on my shoulders, which brought me some ease. I love his touch.

"Okay." I pull Jack into a hug and take in his embrace.

Once we pull away, he does something I didn't expect. His kisses my forehead and smiles sweetly at me.

I smile back, most likey blushing.

I began walking away since I had 4 minutes until I play until Jack yells my name.

"Yeah?" I turn around to see him rushing towards me. Then he stops right in front of me. I look up at him, he's a little taller than me. As everyone knows.

He takes a few moments before he grabs my face and connects our lips together.

I kiss back, obviously. I snake my arms around his neck and lean my body into his. He moves his hands to my waist and pulls me to him. Out bodies felt connected. Not just in a touching cuddly type way.

"Alex come on-" AH YOU MOTHERFUCKING BITCH ZACK! "Um. Uh. I- we have a minute until we play... so um you may want to wrap, this (?) up.."

Jack is frozen while I flush red. "Well Jack we'll talk later." I avoid eye contact and follow Zack.

"Next we have Alex and Zack." Mr. Toro announces.

Jack's pov

"Next we have Alex and Zack."

Zack saw me kiss Alex, what if he tells someone? My mom cannot find out..

But. His lips were so perfect, so kissable... I sigh. They were so soft, I almost chickened out. There was just something telling me to do it.

I'm sure Zack won't tell anyone. At the very least Rian. I go find a area where I can have a good view of Lex playing. Wonder what song it is.

Finally I found the best spot, I'm holding my breathe for him.

"Make it a sweet, sweet goodbye - it could be for the last time and it's not right."

He chosen this song?

"Don't let yourself get in over your head,' he said.
Alone and far from home we'll find you"

Something about Alex's voice, it was just beautiful. He seemed much calmer than he did the first time I heard him sing this song.

The entire I listened to his voice and glanced at his pink shaded lips. I watched how his face lit up, how big his smile was. Alex, I can't hope my feelings aren't hidden anymore. Hope you're ready, I hope I am...
