Lulliabes | Chapter 10

Jack's pov-

Alex's alarm woke us both up. Some how we ended up under the covers and I was spooning Alex, not that he seemed to mind because he mumbled a '5 more mintues' and cuddled more into my chest.

We often skipped class together but we couldn't do that today, we had to turn in our history project and have to get ready for our music project which is in two days. I'm not doing anything but I know Alex and Zack are so I wanna go.

"Banana butt we need to get up."

"Hmm. No." He shakes his head.

"Hmm yes. Get up," I sit up and start jumping on his bed.

"Jaaccckkkkkkkkkk!" Alex whines.

"Are you going to get up?"

"Fine you bastard." He sat up and stretched his arms then looked at me.

I stopped jumping and smiled at him. Before I knew we weren't breaking eye contact.

His big brown eyes were staring into mine, both of us smiling like idoits and didn't care.

"Alex! Time for school!" His mother shouted, making us jump slightly.

"We should probably start getting ready..." I suggest with a teethy grin.

"Yeah," he let out a long sign and began to grab his clothes, then headed to the bathroom to get dressed. I did the same but stayed in his room to change.

Once I was done I decided to go say hi to his parents. Most likey cause I wanna see what their cooking but still.

"Oh hello Jack." His mom spots me walking in.

"Hey Mrs. Isobel, hope you don't mind I spent the night."

"Oh no problem there. I don't mind." She laughs softly while cooking up some pancakes. "Want some pancakes?"

"Heck yeah!" I take a seat at the table.

"Jackk!! Where are you, you big poo head?" Alex starts calling for me.

"Kitchen!" I call back.

"Oh hey, PANCAKES!" Alex rushes to sit next to me waiting for our food.

I still see his outfit from the corner of my eye. He's wearing a purple platted shirt which looks very good on him, and I'm sure he's wearing some skinny jeans as so it's our go to too pants.

"So what do you think we'll get on our project?" Alex asks me while we are walking to school.

"I don't know. We worked on it for a while. So maybe a C at the least." I say shrugging.

"Okay. Good." He sighs in concent.

"Yeah, so what about music? What are you and Zack planning?" 

"You'll just have to see." He grins at me.

God I love when he does that. It's the simple things that does 360 degree circles in my stomach.

I wonder what he thinks about me. What if he likes me? No that'll be impossible. Not to mention I been using a possible trigger word. I'm gonna need to stop using it. Well I'm not sure. He's giving mixed signals.

Drowning in my thoughts I must have stopped without realizing.

"Jack, we're here. Why'd you stop?"

"Oh, sorry I zoned out."

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah. Everything is, perfect." I smile.

So we turned our project and we'll get our grade once she is done with them, and Today's been kind of slow. But it's finally music!

I'm usally very goofy in this class since Mr. Toro is chill. I'm sure he loves me!

I walk in with Alex next to me, Rian talking with the new kid Justin Hills along with Tyler Carter.

I guess Alex isn't working on his music thing since he follows me to the small group.

"Hey guys," I smile at them. "Any wigs to spray today?"

"No dude, Mr. Bitch in 3rd class took anyway my white wig. Like what the fuck?" Tyler complains.

We end up joking around and out of the conner of my eye I see Lex giving me strange looks and questioning stares.

I'm not really this type of funny around him so he must not be used to it.

Yeah That's the reason, right?

I just shake it off and put my arm around his shoulders. Mostly because I like his touch, and I don't know. He makes me feel like I'm enough. And when he smiles at me over his shoulder, oh god my body goes weak. Plus when I pulled him closer to my chest last night I was just hoping for him not to let go.

Alex leans into my side a little more and I thought he was gonna rest his head on my shoulder but he didn't. That's when reality hits me that he isn't gay.

All of this imagining us being a thing could never happen. He isn't gay.

My smile fades a little but no one seemed to notice. Well, Lex must of.

"Jack, what's wrong?" He whispered.

"Nothing.." I mask my emotions and put on a bigger smile. As I always do. I'll just cry about it later, this is now.

That is until Alex comes up a plan I'm not even sure if I want to follow.

"I'm going to ask to use use the bathroom then you wait a few mintues before doing the same." He tells me and gets up before I could speak.

I look back at Rian who is smiling at me. Not a regular smile, no it's a 'you gotta crush you gotta a crush' smile. I glare at him before getting up and finding Mr. Toro.

"Can I use the restroom?"

"Sure Jack go for it" he sighs and goes and helps a student.
