Lullabies| Chapter 9

Jack's pov-

Alex and I have been spending a lot of time together lately. I even met his bestfriend Zachary who also met my bestfriend Rian. Zack and Rian seemed to hit it off, we all four did actully.

I been spending a lot of time away from home until mom gets a job, everytime I go home she makes a snobby comment, my mother is also homophobic so can't bring that up.

I was home today, I decided to give everyone a break from me and come back to my house.

I was about to take a shower when my phone rang, confused I answered the unknown number. "Hello?"

"Hello, is this Jack Barakat?"

Oh shitz what did I do...

"Yes?"

"We are calling to inform you , you got the job at the Coffe Swings!"

I don't remember applying for a job there?

But I'll fucking take it, fuck yea!

"Oh shi- sir, thank you so much! When do I start?"

I went ahead went through with the job. I will work 5pm-10pm on Mondays through Thursdays and I'll get Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. I call it a win win.

Oh fuck I gotta tell Alex!

I been thinking about Alex lately. Not in a friend way either... I think I'm developing a actual crush? On him...  like. Not just he sexy looks. Him.

I rushed to his contact (We made sure to give we other our numbers) and pressed ring.

After a few rings his voice ringed in my ears."Hello?"

"Hey guess what!"

"Chicken butt?"

"Yes, wait no! I got a job at the coffee shop!"

"No way! I'm so happy for you!!"

"Yeah I know! I don't even know how I got the job?!"

Alex went quite for a momment.

"I kind of filled you in there."

Oh.

"OMGTHANKYOUILLLOVEYOUFOREVERILOVETHATPLACE!"

"Have No idea what was said but you're welcome." He laughs.

"Thank you very much Lex. Say wanna celebrate later?"

"Sure, but I have to practice with Zack for that thing in Music."

"Okay, your house?"

"Sure, climb throw my window. My parents are still acting funny. They should leave soon though."

Once I reached his house I went to his window like he said too and climbed in.

He wasn't in his room, I just jumped on his bed and waited about 5 minutes before he came in.

"Oh hey Jack." He jumped next to me.

"I took some of this bad boy." He showed me a whine bottle with a smirk.

"Um. I don't drink..."

"Oh come on Jack, my parents just left and told me they'll be gone all night. A few sips aren't gonna kill you."

All I could think was about how a few sips killed my dad... A few sips of something strong and you're gone.

"How strong is it?" I ask quietly.

"Not that strong, and if you want you can stay the night here."

Alex would think I was lame if I didn't drink, so I took a few sips and let Alex do the same after me.

"Ew that's disgusting." I laugh, Alex also made a face which caused me laugh a bit harder at his cuteness.

"How about we not drink to much, we have school tomorrow anyway." Lex suggests and puts the bottle aside. "So what do you want to do for your celebration?"

"We can just watch a movie and cuddle?"

"Cuddle? What are you 3?"

"Yes you bisket butter!"

"Fine." He blushes but tried to hide and puts in a movie and hesitantly lay next to me while setting his head on my chest.

Alex's pov

Is this really happening?

I'm cuddling with Jack? Not that I'm complaining but holy fuck I'm cuddling with him!

I have mentally fight the shakes of this actually being true.

My heart flutters which never happened. Yea I'd have small crushes here and there but never been this close to someone in a while.

I glance up at him and see he's already asleep, I take in his features one more time before placing a delicate kiss on his cheek feeling kinda mushy. I ended up cuddling into his side more and eventually falling asleep myself. Dreaming of what Jack and I could be.
