Alex's Pov***

Music, finally! This school is shit! I wonder if Zack's school is just as boring. Not only that but the people here stink.

Shit! That reminds me! I have to deal with Jack in this hour! Not only this hour but after school plus history!

Maybe I can out of it? Would that be too mean?I just don't really want to talk much to anyone. I have a best friend and that's all I need at the moment.

I mentally prepare myself before opening the door. But when I step in, it's like heaven! There is everything here! But I'm more dazzled by the guitars! There are so many! Electric, acoustic, just everything...

"Class! Please be quite for a few minutes please? Thank you. Now, we will be finishing everyone's projects. The guess will be here Friday so make sure you are all prepared and set to preform. We want to show how much music can impacted someone's life. So play with your soul, heart, everything you got. If you are singing, it doesn't have to be a original, but if it is make sure you write with meaning. Now, we do have a new student. Alexander Gaskarth I will need to speak to you." A guy in a leather spoke, who I am guessing is the music teacher said.

I walked up to him and he  offers a smile at me.

"Hey, Alex or Alexander?"

"Alex"

"Well okay Alex. My name is Mr. Toro and I will be your teacher. As I'm sure you heard we are having some people check out our school and I decide we should give them a show. Of course this is a grade, but since you are new and unprepared do you wish to sit out?"

Well, I do have songs already written... Maybe I can get Zack to help me...

"Actully... I have a few songs I could get a friend to help me play. If that's okay...?" I try to not rush my speaking. Dumb fucking aniexty does that to you.

"Sure dude. Go for it. I'm sure you will do better than half of these people here. Most of them just play around. Like that guy," pointing to Jack who is wearing a wig.

Where the fuck did he get that?

"He plays all the time. Most likey never going to go anywhere in life. Sad." With that he walks away.

Leaving me kinda feeling sorry for the annoying prick. I wonder if that's how everyone thinks of him... I did at first. Is it an act maybe? No way someone can be that goofy all the time. If it is. why he does it. He wasn't really that funny when he was talking to me.

But I'm also not the joking type either with new people.

I just shuggred it off not trying to guess someone's life story and texted Zack to call me as soon as possible.

Soon enough my phone started to ring. Earning a few looks when it went off. Includings Jack's.

We held a few seconds of eye contact before I answered.

"Hey dude what's up?" Zack questioned.

"Well, I have this project..? Thing in music and was wondering if you could help me with it? It's gonna be due by Friday."

"Sure dude. Want me to come over after school today?"

"Nah, later this week."

"K man. Well see you then." He ended the call.

Now, I just need to pick a song...

Well good thing I always bring my lyrics book. Tommy used to always tell me about how he would never leave without his.

Of course, I don't have his. He got really mad one day and threw it in a fire. But I remember how he would talk about his friends, he didn't have good ones. But still. Thoses were the Good Times.

I take small glances at Jack. Even though whatever random thing he does, he has something that seems kinda sad to him.

Soon after playing a few guitars here and there the bell rang and it was time to go home. I have to go Jack's. Which it's too bad to back out of now.

"Alex! Wait up!" Speak of the dumbass.

I let out a annoyed sigh and stopped.

"Hey, if this is going to work you need not to be a asshole to me all the time."

"I don't do well with people." I mumbled.

"Thought so. Well you are stuck with me." He smiles.

"You say it like it's a good thing" I roll my eyes, he seemed to take it in the kidding way. Who knows. Maybe it was.
