"She'd screamed in pain then slammed the door in my face after I told her to shut up and go to the room like I was her dad or something." I said shaking my head.

"I stayed up that whole night with my friends telling me how I was wrong for hitting her and pushing her around while she was pregnant. I denied it like I was in the right for the longest. Then I went to go check up on her..." I said to her. My voice shaky. I shook my head. "It was early in the morning and I had slept on the couch after I put everyone out. I knew something was wrong before I even came in. I knew going to sleep in a bad mood can lead to waking up in that same mood because I was still kinda angry with her. Shaking her just to-." I stopped and shook my head. I was no different than Chris beating on her mom. I didn't deserve her. She didn't deserve me. Why the hell was I here?

"No matter how much you over think it, just remember it happened already. There's nothing you can do to change it." She said to me. She was right, but I wanted to make it right. I wanted to fix things between us.

"I did this. I made her angry at the world. At guys. Because of what I did." I said to Ash's mother. She shook her head and chuckled.

"You may have made her put up a guard with guys, but I saw her long before you knew her. I knew when you two started hanging out and talking that she'd grow feelings towards you. Only you. No one else. Not a damn soul could compare to how happy you made her except Navia. She'd come home to me just like she'd done with you and talk about how happy she was to be able to start a family finally. I didn't know what it meant then, but I do now." She said to me. I looked at her and my heart seemed to beat hard against my chest.

"She waited for me?" I asked her. She shrugged.

"I don't know. I don't think she expected you to come. I just think she wishes you would have. She didn't want you to know this or Navia's parents, but Navia is planning on giving up her baby." She said to me shaking her head. I frowned up at her. Navia as in the girl I'd just met who told me that she'd gotten raped? There was no other person I knew by that name.

I recalled looking at her baby and how adorable she was. Thinking that I could have had this with Ash and crying because I'd ruined that chance. Now we had that chance again? This was too much of a coincidence.

"She wants to sign her rights over to Ash. I told Ash that it was a lot to handle, but you know how she can get. If I'd have known about this beforehand, I'd have understood why she was so careful and obsessed with Navia." She said to me. It made sense. I looked at Ash's mom and sighed. I don't know if I was ready for a child yet, but I'd be ready for her. If she was willing to sacrifice her career path for someone she cared about so be it. I'd be behind her 100%.

Ashay I'm coming to pick you up.

For what ? I thought u didn't want me to see my mom.

I sighed and tucked my phone back in my pocket then reached out to hug Ash's mom tightly.

"I'll check on you in a bit. I gotta go get Ash and-"

"Take care of her." She said to me sternly. I nodded and kissed her cheek.

"I will. I promise." With that, I got up and left.

By the time I got there, Ash wasnt at all dressed, but throwing around clothes in her room and complaining while wrapped in a towel. I sat at her room door and smiled mischievously as I watched her go on and on about me not being specific about where we were going. She obviously didn't know what to wear.
