Thirteen

Navia pov

I fumed the whole day and  ignored Head as well. Finally school was over and I couldn't do it anymore. I wanted to know what was up with him.

"Hey Avi-"

"What the fuck is your problem?" I said turning around to face him.

"What do you mean? You're the one that's been ignoring me!" He shot back.

"You gotta be kidding me- you fucking punched her in the face! Is that apart of your plan??" I asked him, but before he could answer, I left him. He grabbed me and I pushed him away.

"Navi-"

"Get the fuck away from me." I said sternly. I spotted Sam's truck and sprinted to it. He unlocked the doors and watched me get in before locking them back behind me.

"What's going on?" He asked as he watched head approach the truck. I sighed and shook my head.

"I don't even know. We were supposed to plan this funny trick on Ash and he ended up... I don't wanna talk about it." I said to him. He nodded and backed out without another word.

  I watched from the safety of the truck as Head turned and headed for the buses.

"Well, we're going to pick up Trevor from school and head to the grocery store. Maybe that'll help clear your mind." He said to me as he drove. I nodded. Maybe, but even after we came and left the store, I was still on edge and he noticed while we were putting up the food.

"Did he do something that-"

"I'm not saying he did and I'm not saying he didn't, but I'd much rather him get kicked out of the house." I spoke. He sighed and pulled me away from the kitchen to the living room to sit.

"Maybe you're overwhelmed right now and you're just-"

"He forced himself on me even after I told him to stop. Then Ash came out of nowhere and tried to help and he punched her." I spat out. Just then the door was being turned and then someone knocked.

"Hey, it's me. Avi, we need to talk."

"I don't have anything to say to you." I called back.

"It was a part of the plan. I knew she was gonna be there and I did it on purpose." He admitted. My whole face turned red. Who was he to play with my emotions like that?

  I didn't even know whether to believe him or not and my mom wasn't here to supervise so I looked to Sam for help. He sighed and got up to open the door. Head looked at him and nodded.

"Take a seat." He instructed. He listened and sat near me, but I moved out of reflex.

"Why would you do that? That wasn't cool."

"Look, like I said, I'm sorry. I'll do whatever it is you want me to do to make it up to you. Anything." He said looking at me. I looked at Sam and he nodded.

"Okay, go with me to her house."

"What?" He said in disbelief.

"You said anything. You have to apologize." I said as a matter of fact.

"I'll even take you. We won't be there long, but you owe her an apology." Sam said to him. Head sighed and shook his head.

"I guess."

"Good, let's go."

"I got it. You don't have to carry anything. I got it." I said to Niq as we took her things into the house.
