A/N: it's about to come to an end pretty soon and some the tea... 👀 👁 👁 👀

This book is longer than any of my others which means I enjoyed writing it. I thank you all so much for adding it. It means a lot. Y'all are the bomb.com.

With that being said, please leave feedback for me (as in comment on what you think I should work on or just anything relating to this story) and vote.

Enjoy❤️

I watched her face in anticipation for a while. She had to say yes.

Please say yes. I thought as I looked on at her. She smiled and nodded at me. I smiled back. I wanted her to say the words.

"Alright. Yeah. You're right. I can start over. We'll work in the you part of this. I don't know how you fit into all of this, but I trust you. I have since I woke up and you were there; helping me. I thank you for that, but I don't want this to be just one of those nice things you do to get over on me." She said to me. Pain etched in her face. I clenched my jaw shut. Maybe she'd remembered something she wasn't telling me to be saying that. I wasn't sure, but I knew I liked her the moment I laid eyes on her. Something about her needed help way before this and I wanted to help so bad. I wanted to love her and hold her to let her know I wouldn't do those things to her.

"Alright. Well, I have to stop being so nice to you. Otherwise, they'll catch on." I said to her with a straight face, trying to hold the smile back on my lips at the face she was making towards me.

"What?? You've been faking this whole time?" She asked me. I shook my head.

"No. I like you for real. I just have to chill out for now. Can't keep buying you sodas and water." I said to her with a smile on my face as I pulled her drink to me. She rolled her eyes, but I could see her blushing from a mile away as she pulled it back from me.

"You like me?" She asked. I nodded slowly and checked my watch before getting up suddenly.

"Hey, I gotta go. My- wow. I'm sorry." I said to her as I picked up the pictures and stuffed them back in the portfolio. Then stuffed that inside my shoulder bag. I was supposed to be picking someone up and I'd been complete consumed with my time with her. "I'll see you later on alright?" I said to her as I touched her shoulder.

She nodded absentmindedly and kissed my cheek out of nowhere before pulling away and walking past me out the room. "Huh..." I said in thought. My face burning up as I walked to the nurses booth and signed out.

"You seem to be getting along with that one patient a lot..." a guy name Robert said to me as he wrote up some paperwork. I glanced back at the back of his fat meaty white head and rolled my eyes.

Rumor has it, he touched little kids when he was in the children's unit of the place and then got moved when one of the patients complained to their mom about it when being released. The mom reported it to some people above us, but all they did was place him somewhere else where the same thing happened in the adolescent unit. Now he was stuck here with some adults that couldn't even defend themselves if something like that ever happened.

I didn't want to let Navia know that I knew her past with things like that so I never told her. Too afraid to, especially seeing that cute sad face she gave me when she realized she hurt somebody. I knew too well the impact somebodies first impression was on anything and didn't want to seem like I was pushing myself into her life.

I balled my fist up at my waist as I grabbed my lunch bag and stood up to leave. "You seem to always be touching the patients." I strained from punching him and smacked the desk in front of him so hard that the patients in the other room jumped and thought something chaotic was happening as they got up and start running all over the place yelling.
