I sigh and run my fingers through my hair as I struggle to make sense of these equations. I'm usually pretty good at math, so this is frustrating.

I lean back on my chair, crossing my arms and closing my eyes as I take deep breaths. I'm trying to relax a bit so that I can actually focus on my work.

When I open my eyes again, I nearly yelp at seeing a kid with messy green hair sitting directly in front of me. His green eyes are staring into my own EC ones, looking mildly concerned.

It would've been bad if I yelled, since I'm in the school's library and all.

You know, this guy's actually kind of cute.

I uncross my arms, face slightly burning as I rest my forearms back onto the table. I tilt my head at him with one eyebrow raised, asking quietly, "Do you need something?"

He blinks and his face turns bright red, him chuckling and smiling nervously whilst stumbling in his words. He rants for a short bit before I cut him off with a small giggle.

"I'm LN YN, but just call me YN or NN. What's your name?" I question, smirking lightly.

I probably got that from Katsuki, or Bakuhoe as I call him. I snicker at the nickname.

The boy grins shyly and stutters out a small reply, "My-My name is M-Midoriya Izuku, but my f-friends call me D-Deku or Izuku."

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Deku," I say nicely before picking up my pencil and going back to my work, still confused.

"You t-too.." Deku replies, trailing off as he watches me. He then shuffles to my side and sits beside me, inquiring, "Do you need h-help?"

I smile sheepishly at him, nodding. "Yeah, that would be great. I'm kinda struggling here."

He nods with a small grin and looks over my paper, then points out what I did wrong and proceeds to help me finish all of my homework.

I look over at him with a wide smile, "Thank you so much, Deku! I really appreciate your help!"

Deku chuckles and blushes a little. "It's no problem."

We then talk for a while before he asks, "Hey, you're good at science, right?"

I nod, "Yeah, why?"

"Could you possibly help me with my homework too?"

I giggle and agree, this time it's me tutoring him.

This was the day we began our friendship, which later turned into a romantic relationship.

I've never been so grateful for anyone or anything than I am for him.
