I notice something is off as soon as I enter Class 1-A alongside my brother, Denki Kaminari, who appears to be just as baffled as I am.

Our friend, Uraraka, is practically bouncing off the walls as she rambles on about this new book she's reading, which she is currently grasping in her hands.

As we waltz over, she's basically just shoving it into everyone's faces, presenting it as if it were a check filled out with tons of cash specifically for her on it.

It's almost amusing.

"What's going on?" I curiously inquire, eyeing her and the book in suspicion.

"Oh! YN! You won't believe this!" she squeals, darting to the place right beside me (knocking Denki out of the way in the process). "This new book I found is soo good! It has the right amount of romance without it crossing the line of being cheesy, it has such an intriguing mystery and the plot is astounding!"

I arch an eyebrow, not that interested until I hear her sputter out some of its details.

It sounds rather familiar, but I can't seem to put my finger on it. Not even the glimpse I caught of the cover of the novel is ringing a bell.

As Uraraka continues to gush about the book, she manages to convince the rest of the girls to buy it later on. I just shrug it off and go to offer my hand to my brother, who is still sitting on the floor while rubbing the back of his head, which he must've hit on the skidded-back desk behind him.

The rest of the day carries on as normal, but towards the final few hours, I began to feel mildly ill.

I stuck it out, but didn't attend the next day due to my symptoms worsening.

When I do return the day after my sick day, I come to find out that all of the girls have their noses buried in that book Uraraka had been babbling on about.

"Wow," I quietly comment, striding up to Momo as she standing near the front of the class. Clearing my throat to gather her attention, I ask, "Hey, what's so riveting about that book?"

She eagerly replies, "Oh, it's just as Uraraka described! It's amazing; you really need to read it!" Gathering her composure, she formally adds, "If you want to, I mean."

I nod, giggling a little at her reaction. "I'll keep that in mind."

Once again, the day goes by as usual, but all of the girls keep insisting that I buy the book and read it for myself, and I finally cave.

After I read my pre-planned books, that is.

As the sun rises and falls for the next few days, the fixation with the novel only increased tenfold. Some of the boys even began reading it, as well.
