Sometimes I wonder what happened to us, despite fully knowing what went down.

I mean, we used to be so close; now, all we ever do is bicker and be at each other's throats.

It's only been getting worse as the years go by.

When I was a kid, I had two best friends.

One went by the name of Izuku Midoriya, while the other went by Katsuki Bakugo.

This was before we had our quirks.

Upon developing said quirks—for two of us, at least—one started to become cruel.

That "one" was Bakugo.

His power gave him a big head, making him think as if he was superior to everyone else.

I stood by Midoriya's side, and we remained good friends.

In school, Bakugo and I would always compete in various trials.

Who would get the better grades?

Who would be the most confident?

Who would get a better handle on their quirk first?

The list goes on.

We built a rivalry between the both of us, and with that rivalry came hatred.

Well, maybe "hatred" is too strong of a word.

For me, it was more like bitterness.

But even so, here we are, all three of us—myself, Midoriya and Bakugo—in our dream school that we would ramble on about for hours as children.

UA.

Specifically, in Class 1-A, one of the hero courses.

Funny how life works, yeah?

What a coincidence that we would all be in the same class together as teens.

Unfortunately, nothing has changed between me and Bakugo.

As previously mentioned, the tensions among us only strengthened as time dragged on, bringing us to the point of nearly murdering one another on certain occasions when we fight.

Which, these fights, happens more than I'd like to admit.

It seems like we can't even go a day without arguing about something, and our classmates won't even break it up for the fear of escalating things or getting themselves injured.
