Lonely

We have been living in Georgia for about 2 months now and life is great. Kayla is dating Kolby and she is finally happy. Scott loves school and even made friends. Summer loves Jessica and Brantley's mom Becky. As for me and Brantley we are just friends but close.

I got off work Friday afternoon and got home to get the kids ready to take them to there dad's in Alabama. As we were about to leave Kolby and Brantley walked over and I asked Brantley if he would like to ride so I wouldn't have to drive back by myself, he said yes and we loaded up in the truck.

About 4 hours later we got to my ex husband's house and dropped the kids off and then I went to see my mom for a few before we headed home. I walked it to surprise my mom and she met Brantley which she liked him of course. She asked if anything was going on between us and I said no but I like him and he likes me.

I was getting ready to leave when my brother pulled up and asked if we wanted to go to a bonfire?

I turned to ask Brantley and he said sure.

I told Brantley before we headed to the bonfire I wanted to go get something to eat and he said it was fine.

We pulled up at Longhorns Steakhouse and Brantley walked around and opened my door helping me out. He opened the door to the restaurant for me as well. The hosts asked if it was just the two of us and Brantley said yes ma'am. She led us around to a table and Brantley pulled my chair out for me. The waitress came shortly after and took our order.

Brantley:You look beautiful

Me:Thank you and you clean up nice for a Georgia boy

Brantley:Thank you darlin

Me:So how do you like Alabama?

Brantley:Its nice and thank you for inviting me. Your family is really nice.

Me:Yeah when they wanna be.

Brantley:I heard your mom ask you if you liked me and you said yes!!!

Me:I did because I do...is that a problem?

Brantley:No it's not because i like you too...which I want to ask you something.

Me:What that???

Brantley:Will you be my girlfriend??? I promise to never hurt you or your kids.

Me:Yes!!! I would love to be your girlfriend.

We finished eating and Brantley paid and left a $50 tip. He held my hand on the way out and again opened the door of my truck but before I got in I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. He smiled and helped me up which I told him thank you for doing. He walked over to his side and got in. We pulled out of the parking lot to head to the bonfire.
