Life in the fast lane

We pull up at my dad's and of course Brantley opens my door and helps me out. We walk in my dad's hand in hand.

Dad this is Brantley Gilbert my boyfriend...Brantley this is my dad William, step mom Tammy and little brother C.J...he shakes their hand and says it's nice to meet you.

Dad well Delanie do y'all want to go to the races with us?

Yes we do I say...

My little brother asks if he can ride with us...yes I say...Brantley opens my door and helps me in. We pull out behind my dad and follow him to Shelby County Speedway

When we arrive we find a parking spot then head to the pitts to see my Uncle Sandy with Dawson Racing.

Hey Uncle Sandy,this is my boyfriend Brantley Gilbert

Hi Brantley it's nice to meet you...you to sir he says.

Brantley's Pov

This woman is great and so is her family. They welcomed me like I have known them for years.

I hear someone call my name and it's Delanie's Uncle Sandy. I walk over and say sir.

I'm about to go for a test run would you like to ride with me?

Yes sir I would...we got in and done a few laps. Oh my god that was amazing thanks.

No problem Sandy says.

About 45 mins later the race starts and Sandy was in 7th when they started but on the final lap he flipped 3 times across the finish line and won the race still.

Delanie walked up behind me putting her arms around me and hugged me.

Having fun she asks? Of course I am lol I love racing and spending time with you.

Aww I love spending time with you too hun she says then gives me a kiss.

Delanie's Pov

Brantley is having a blast and I hope he really likes my family as much as I like his. His mom is so sweet, his dad picks on you which means he likes you, Kolby (his brother) is a crazy mess and Jessica (his cousin) baby sits my kids and she is more like a sister now.

I just can't wait to get my man home and have him all to myself. Watch a movie, cuddle and maybe just maybe a little more.
