Most beautiful sound in the world

We are back from our honeymoon/vacation. We had so much fun but we had to take the kids to Alabama to see there dad, they will be gone a week. Brantley is at the studio recording and I'm having lunch with his mom later then we are meeting up at the OBGYN for our first ultrasound and to hear Bugs heartbeat. Yes that's right Brantley calls the baby Bug lol.

I was vaccuming when the buzzer from the dryer went off letting me know the clothes were done. I went and folded the clothes and put them away and finished up cleaning. I had just got done mopping when the door bell rang. I answered the door to find a delivery man holding a dozen red roses. "Mrs.Delanie Gilbert?" "Yes sir that's me" "This are for you, can you please sign here" I signed the clipboard and gave it back to him and took the roses. "Thank you sir" "Your welcome ma'am and good day" he said and left.

I took the roses into the kitchen and put them on the counter getting the note out of the holder and reading it.

"Just showing I'm thinking of you and how much I love you. Your my other half and you complete my soul. My heart is yours and only yours. I love you my beautiful wife.

Aww my husband is the sweetest. I was smiling like a dork at the note when my phone started ringing.

Me: Hello

Brantley: Hey angel

Me: Thank you babe they are beautiful

Brantley: Not as beautiful as you darlin

Me: Your the best babe and it really made my day

Brantley: I'm glad darlin...what time is your appointment again?

Me: 2:00

Brantley: Okay baby I will be there

Me: You better

Brantley: I will baby promise. Enjoy your lunch with mom and I love you darlin

Me: I love you too

I hung up with Brantley and went to make our bed then the kids beds. I was watching tv when the door bell rung so I answered the door and it was Moma Becky. "You ready honey?" Moma Becky asked " Yes ma'am I'm starving" I say "Well lets go eat then" she says laughing. We pull up to The Varsity and go find us a table. We ordered and just talked while waiting on our food. We talked about us getting married, the kids and the baby. Our food came and it was amazing like always.

After lunch we went shopping and got our toes done. We loaded everything into the back of Moma Becky's suv and headed to the doctor.  We pulled into the parking lot at the same time as Brantley. He walked over and helped me out of the car and we walked hand in hand into the doctor office. I signed in and waited for them to call me back.

Brantley's Pov:

We are in the waiting room just waiting to go back. I'm excited yet nervous at the same time. I'm glad I'm getting to share this moment with my beautiful wife and moma. The nurse called Delanie back and weighed her, checked her blood pressure and made her pee in a cup, then to get blood test done to check a bunch of stuff.

We were in the room for maybe 15 mins when Dr.Simmons came in and shook our hand. He said everything looked good with her and it was time to check on Bug. She laid back and I was holding her hand. They put the gel on the wand and inserted it into her. He turned the monitor on and there was our Bug on the screen. Moma was taking pictures with her cell phone and I was just looking at this tiny thing smiling.

Delanie asked if it was only one right and he said yes. He did his measurements and said everything looked great. Then he asked if we wanted to hear the heartbeat and we said yes. All of a sudden I heard a thudding sound and started crying, it was my child's heartbeat, it was strong and fast. The doctor printed us some pictures and made our next appointment for next month.

Delanie's Pov:

I have never seen Brantley cry until today and it was the sweetest thing ever. He cried because of our child. He cried because we got to hear our babys heartbeat. He was so proud and happy. I swear I just fell more in love with that man. He is the father of my child, he is my husband. I got to share this moment with him and watch his expression when he saw our baby and heard the heartbeat. I will never forget this day.

I rode home with Brantley after giving his mom a picture of the baby. We got home and sat on the couch to watch some tv. I had a blanket on me and was halfway asleep when I felt a hand rub my stomach and a soft kiss be placed on my tummy. I heard Brantley whisper I love you Bug and I felt arms wrap me up and lift me off the couch. I woke up to see Brantley carrying me to our bed and I said u love you and heard him say I love you too angel and I was out.
