"Thank goodness gym class is over!" My friend, Heather said as she limps. We had a game of netball and Heather rolled her ankle.
I smirked, "I know. All I can think about now is that we finally get to have lunch."
"Do you ever not think about food?"
I stopped walking and stared at my friend, "Do you ever think about not breathing?"
Heather's face scrunches, "No."
"Exactly. It's a necessity, Heather."
All the girls were in the changing room and were stripping off their gym clothes. Me on the other hand took all my clothes and walked into one of the private stalls. I do this every time I changed my clothes.
I take my shirt and shorts off, leaving me in my underwear. I make sure I never look at my hip. I don't ever look at it. I intentionally don't look at myself from the waist down. I don't know why since it's been two years. I should get over it by now. I mean like...other people have it worse than me.
But still. Maybe it's like a coping mechanism? Or maybe I've adopted my parents methods...if you ignore for long enough, it might disappear.
I got my clothes on and walked out of the stalls. My friend Heather was sitting there waiting for me. We got our bags and headed out.
I saw Rosie and her crew was up ahead of us, "No like seriously. Jax is amazing. He is so sweet and yet so dangerous and hot. He's the perfect mix."
Amber's eyes widened with longing, "That's incredible, Rosie! I wish I had someone like that."
"I know I am seriously the luckiest girl in the world. He is one of the craziest bad boys ever and me, Rosie, has tamed him. He's told me that I'm his soft spot and that only I could help him calm down."
I rolled my eyes and covered my mouth so than they couldn't hear me giggle. Poor girl. She's fallen for his trap. The thing I've noticed with Jax is that he tells every girl what they want to hear. He knows how to get them at their most vulnerable place.
He's never done that with me or any other girl that has the beauty standard of average. He's only ever targeted the girls that would count as supermodels.
I tied my hair up in a bun as Heather and I entered the cafeteria. I grabbed two trays, "Go sit down, I'll get your lunch." I said.
Heather smiles, "Thanks, Mill."
I smiled and went to wait in line to get some food. The line was moving slower than usual. I sighed and leaned on my back leg as I waited.
"You're fucking kidding me," I heard someone behind me mutter. I felt every hair on my arm stand up. I glanced behind me slowly and saw Jax was there. I gulped and looked forward.
"Hey can we get a move on! I'm starving!" He shouted. That didn't really help as everyone couldn't exactly go faster because there were just too many people.
"For fucks sakes." He growled. He pushes past me, making me stumble and he pushes his way through the line.
"Get out of my way!" He shouts. I look ahead and sees he slams his tray in front of the food. The lunch lady started to shout at him. His blue eyes widened and he began shouting back. His face was going red as his temper seemed to get more intense.
He grabs the spoon and began serving himself, angrily dumping food on his tray. He threw the spoon in the food, grabs his tray and storms off.
I watched him walk away angrily. His shoulders hunched over and his eyes intense. Jax turns his head and for a split second, glances my way.
