*she didn't run away like the song lol
"I'm moving to London paul, with Laurie."
"Why? Do your parents know about this?"
"Well I decided since I'm 18 I should start being more independent so I'm starting a life over there becoming my own person."
"Sounds like rubbish. You're a girl don't you think you should just wait to get married?"
"Oh fuck off. You know what you're just like everyone else." I got up and he just pulled me back down.
"Oh come on I'm sorry Sophie. I am going to miss you."
"I'm sure you will, now let's go downstairs."
We all ate dinner and talked in the living room amongst the warm fire. I kept catching Paul looking at me. A part of me wanted to go over to him and kiss him and tell him how much I loved him but the other part told me to stay put. After a few hours the McCartneys were leaving, which was good since I still had to pack considering my train ticket was booked for the next day. I told paul I was moving but I never told him when. I'm not sure why Laurie and I didn't wait until a while longer to leave to London I guess we both longed to get out of here.
"Sophie." I turned around from the open door and saw Paul."Hmm?"
"I um- I got you this." The rest of my family saw Paul and I interacting so they decided to leave the room. He handed me a small box with a cute bow wrapped over the top. I opened it to find a beautiful simple yet elegant necklace with a diamond in the center. I was absolutely gorgeous.
"Paul this is amazing. It's so gorgeous I can't accept it."
"Please Sophie it's Christmas and it's my gift to you." I looked up at him and found him staring at me with his beautiful hazel eyes. Those eyes that could charm any girl. I pulled him into a tight hug he was a little shocked at first but quickly gave in. We stood there like that for a few minutes, I missed doing little things like this with him.
We finally pulled apart. "Well goodnight Sophie Merry Christmas." He started to turn around.
"Wait Paul." He turned back to face me.
"Yea?"
"Look up." He just smiled we were both standing under the mistletoe. I inched closer to him and he did the same I put my arms around his neck and he places his hands in my waist. He suddenly slammed his lips onto mine. It was that feeling of pure love again that feeling I've been waiting and wanting again. Our lips moved in sync. I wished I could stay here like this with him forever, but alas I had to leave. I finally pulled away.
"Goodnight James , I love you."
"I love you too, goodnight my dear Sophia."
With that he turned around and walked out the door I tried not to cry. Why didn't I tell him I was leaving so soon? I went upstairs and put on the necklace it was so beautiful. I pulled out two suitcases and started packing. After an hour I had finished and sighed. It was now midnight and I had to get up at 5. I didn't feel tired so I pulled out a photo album. I looked at all the memories we captured most of them being Paul and I from the first day we met all the way to today when my mom took a picture of us underneath the tree. I looked at everything, all the friends and family fun we've had here in Liverpool. It was going to be hard to leave I owe many great memories to this place.
I closed the album and walked over to my window. I opened the blinds to find myself staring into Pauls room. He was still awake sitting on his bed with a guitar in his lap. He had a piece of paper next to him where he was scribbling down lyrics I suppose. After a minute he set the guitar down and put his face in his hands. That's when he looked up at me and I noticed he had been crying. I wanted to say something to him but I couldn't bring myself to open the window so I quickly shut the blinds and slid down on the floor. I fell asleep until my alarm clock woke me up at 5.
At 5:30 I said my goodbyes to my family. I made sure to give my mom the 3 letters that I had wrote for John George, and Paul. My dad drove me down to the station where I had met with Laurie. It was finally time to get on the train so I said my last farewell to my dad. I watched as the train pulled out of the station. I was finally leaving home.
