today after school i'm heading to the airport to fly out to melbourne. i've been missing ruel so much it's insane. it has only two days, imagine when he goes to the other side of the world. i'm still in math and i'm just waiting till class is over so i can leave and see RUEL. i feel a tap on my shoulder and i turn around to see jessica smirking at me.
"yes?" i ask a little annoyed
"how come you and ruel spend so much time together? like out of all the pretty girls in this school he chooses you"
"i'm sorry what?" i'm truly shocked at what she said
"you see what i mean though like he's way out of your league, how can you not see he's playing you?" she puts on the bitchiest face i have ever seen
i roll my eyes and turn back around and continue doing my work. is he really playing me? i slowly feel a tear roll down my face. i bursh it away and more keep coming. sunday realizes this and she puts her hand on my back.
"hey what's wrong?" she asks
"something stupid jessica said" i say trying to compose myself
"oh my god was it about ruel?"
i slowly nod my head.
"last year they had a thing but he saw who she really was and dropped her. she thinks he played her so i guess now that she sees you with him she's just jealous that you guys have something real" she says handing me a tissue

she pulls me into a hug and then school was over.
"have a safe flight and if anything happens with ruel if you know what i mean tell us straight away" mary says nudging me
i laugh and say my goodbyes to everyone. i have gotten really close to a lot of his friends and i'm really happy that i feel like i have genuine friends for once. well i hope they are. i quickly walk home and finish packing up my stuff. i hear a knock at my door. it's liam.
"hey mila"
"hi!"
"you seem happy, i wonder why" he joked and i laugh along
"okay so i just want to say to have fun but if you ever feel pressured to do something you don't want to do or like you shouldn't be in a situation just call me and be smart"
"yes liam i'm not dumb" i laugh
"fucking take it seriously, i don't know if i can trust that ruel"
"oh come on liam he is the best person and he wouldn't do anything to me"
"have fun in melbourne" he hugs me
"i will if you know what i mean"
"oh my god! what did i just say" he started getting a little frustrated
"chill! i was just joking" i laugh
he leaves my room and i try to close my suitcase by sitting on it. for only a weekend i really packed a lot. i hear my phone get a text so i check and it's from ruel.
ruel - can't wait to see you
mila - me too it's been too long
ruel - see you soon bub
i feel a smile grow on my face. i love the little names he calls me.
"mila!" i hear my mum yell from downstairs
"yep! coming!" i grab my suitcase and bag and do one last check if i forgot anything and go downstairs
"you ready sweetheart?" she asks
"yep" i say bursting with excitement
my mum drives me to the airport. soon enough we arrive at the airport and i get my suitcase out of the boot.
"bye hun, have lots of fun and don't forget to text me everyday. i'll see you sunday night" she gives me a big hug
"bye mum, love you" i say grabbing my suitcase and walking into the airport
she blows me a kiss and hops back in the car. i text ruel as i wait in line to check in.
mila - i'm checking in rn
ruel - boarding soon, see you very soon love
mila - cant wait, have a safe flight xx
i check my suitcase in and go find a coffee shop. i wait in the coffee shop for my flight and scroll through instagram. there's tons of videos when coco accidentally let it slip that ruel isn't exactly single from his live. i just laugh at them because none of them even suspect it's me.
"qantas flight 342 to melbourne is now boarding" i hear announced through the speakers
i quickly finish my coffee and head to the gate. ruels team bought me the ticket which my mum wanted to pay for but they insisted, they also got me a seat in first class which i would've never bought for myself. i boarded the plane and not long after that we were already in the air and i was watching spiderman on the tv. after an hour and a half the plane landed in melbourne and i turn my airplane mode off and straight away get a text from ruel only from two minutes ago.
ruel - i just landed, can't wait to see you
mila - i just landed too where are you?
i get off the plane and as soon as i walk into the airport i see ruel just standing there with his arms open. i run straight into his arms and he picks me up which is new, it was a little bit of a shock to me.
"hi" i smile
"hi" he kisses me
"i missed you" i say as he kisses me again
"ahem" coco says right behind us
he puts me back down and i say hello to everyone else who just watched our little makeout sesh.
it's almost 7pm so we head to the hotel and of course my mum insisted on me being in a separate room as ruel so i'm sharing with coco and sylvie. as i put my suitcase down i hear our doorbell ring. it's ruel.
"hey, lets go to dinner, just us" he winked
"okay, let me just get ready"
"i'll come back in twenty minutes" he said walking away
i turn back around to see coco and sylvie smiling at me.
"what?" i say going to my suitcase
they giggle and whisper something to each other.
"what???" i say getting a little scared
"he's planning something" coco blurts out
"well if you know what it is, help me get dressed"
