today is valentine's day and mila and i are going to taronga zoo for the day. on the way to mila's house i stop to buy her favourite flowers, peonies, and some of her favourite snacks. i knock on her door and she opens it not too long after. she looks absolutely amazing as always.

"hey gorgeous, happy valentine's day" i say giving her a kiss after we pull back i had her the flowers and snack
"aww you are the sweetest, happy valentine's day my love" she says dragging me in the house
she puts the flowers in water, grabs her bag and slips on her air forces.
"ready?" i ask
"mhm let's go" she says walking out to the car
mila's pov
in the car we play frank ocean, tyler the creator and mac miller till we got to the zoo. as we wait in line to get inside i hear a few screams and girls come running over to ruel.
"OH MY GOD! YOU'RE REAL!" one girl said looking up at ruel in disbelief
all her friends said basically the same thing and they got to take their pictures with him and he talked to them for a bit and i just kinda stood behind him waiting but it's okay because this is what he loves. after they're gone we enter the zoo.
"i'm sorry about that" he said putting his arm around me
"oh it's nothing, this is what you love and they are your fans" i say smiling up at him
"how are you so amazing?" he says as he gives me a kiss
our day was full of seeing a bunch of animals and fans. i felt like we saw more fans than zoo animals to be honest. overtime my mood kept going down because i could barely spend time with ruel. after what had felt like 100 fans ruel looks at me noticing i'm sad.
"i'm sorry" he says as we sit down on a bench
"i love that you do what you love but sometimes i wish you were just a little bit less famous so you can live a somewhat normal life." i shrug
"i know, i do too" he says pulling me close "hey how about we get out of here and go to our beach?"
i smile and nod. we quickly walk to the car and stopped by our houses to pick up our swimsuits and boards. then we drove to the place where we had our first date. we spent the afternoon surfing and swimming. it was perfect.
"you're not too bad at surfing" he says as he lays down on the sand
"excuse me i am great at surfing...unlike you" i joke
"you've got some nerve" he says running to me and picking me up and putting me over his shoulder
i tried to think quickly so i tickled him but i didn't think it through enough, we then both fell on the sand dying of laughter.
an hour later we decided to go home and have dinner and i post a picture on instagram.

"ugh why are some people so rude" i groan laying down on ruel's bed
"they're just jealous that you're so insanely gorgeous"
"no they're jealous because they want to be with you"
"okay maybe that too"
he then opens his phone and starts typing something. i don't think much of it and i just scroll through my phone.
"done" he says
"with what?" i ask
"look at my story"
i open instagram and see ruel wrote something on his story that said:
i never really thought i would have to address things such as hate but it is never okay to treat others unfairly. no matter what. i thought you guys would be accepting which the majority of you guys are but it's gotten to the point where we can't ignore it anymore. mila is the girl i love and if you guys can't accept it then just keep your mouth shut. there is no need to hate.
after i read it i looked up at ruel who's picking a movie to watch.
"you really didn't have to do that you know"
"i know but it was getting a bit much" he says laying down next to me
"i love you"
"i love you too" he says planting a kiss on my lips.
we watch the movie and i fall asleep in his arms. so warm and snuggly.
