"Hold! Hold! Hold!"
When the Earth is rocked by the missile, I tighten my grip on Miller and Bellamy. My plan to hide us in the sandstorm seems to be working in our favor, miraculously. Using a tent to protect our heads from the razor sand billowing around us we've all formed a circle around Octavia as Clarke takes care of her arm. Indra calls for us to hold our position, urging for us to remain unmoved in the midst of the storm. Every now and again something sharp would cut into my leg and I would cringe in pain. Miller and Bellamy's grip around me would also flex and I have to assume they're getting cut up the same as I.
Once the storm passes on everyone disbands. Rolling my bruising shoulder I admit to Miller and Bellamy "I think that was the stupidest plan I've ever had."
"I agree", Miller sighs glancing back to watch the storm rolling away "Even your idea to rip apart a malfunctioning generator was a better than this."
"You loved that idea!" I defend my cause to Miller who disagreeably rolls his eyes.
"Yeah", Miller cynically hums "Until you accidentally cut the power to floor F!"
"A minuscule inconvenience!" I defensively hold my thumb and index finger a tiny distance apart "There are only dorms down there anyway. It's not like there are windows to give away it's daytime anyway."
"Hold on", Bellamy cuts in curiously "Why were you ripping the generator apart anyway?"
"Some parts of the generator aren't necessary and some are", I explain to Bellamy as Miller shakes his head with a smirk "I planned to salvage those which aren't to wire up some kind of speaker to the main computer-"
"And she completely ballsed it up-OW!"
"I did not balls it up", I snap at Miller off after pinching him hard on the sensitive exposed skin of his bicep "I made an accidental and rather minor cut to a wire I shouldn't have cut."
