"That's what I specifically told you NOT TO DO!"

"Can you not yell at me whilst I bleed out?"

Reaching down into the rover I wrap my fingers around the spark plug, twisting it as far and hard as I can without any tools

Reaching down into the rover I wrap my fingers around the spark plug, twisting it as far and hard as I can without any tools. We're situated outside of the gorge and a few minutes away from launching into the agreed-upon attack. Murphy and Emori volunteered to drive Echo and Bellamy. Whilst they're ensuring they've got enough arrows and bullets I'm going over every internal part of the rover- as much as I can- before they go barrelling head on into gunfire. The last thing I want or need is for them to get stuck in the gorge with no way out.

"Ave we have to move out now", Murphy reminds me stalking up to where I've precariously balanced myself on the rim of the hood.

Angling my boots so I don't fall into the engine, I mutter to Murphy "Just give me five more minutes."

"Ave-"

"Five more minutes Murphy", I snap a little harsher then I'd intended. Murphy throws his hands up as if it'll ward off any more of my sharp words. Glancing down I offer Murphy an apologetic look, "Sorry. I just want to make sure nothing will fail on you."

"Remember you were the one who built this monstrosity", Murphy reminds me, tapping me lightly "I have trust in you. Particularly because I know your freakishly brilliant mind put it together." I only give Murphy a meek smile before he wanders around the rover. Hearing a couple doors whine open a second later I assume Murphy and Emori have jumped into the driver's seats. Reaching for a bolt on the battery, I grit my teeth and tighten it with my fingers as tight as it'll allow me.

"Ave stop", I hear Bellamy beside me. Shaking my head I ignore him, uttering about giving me five more minutes as I try to tighten the bolt as hard as I can. Seconds later I feel his warm hand reaching up to grip my thigh, "Ave you're spiraling. Calm down."

Laughing humourlessly I mention to Bellamy "You know it took me until we stood outside this gorge to realise I've just volunteered the man I love to rush into gunfire which slaughtered over two-thirds of our army." Giving up on tightening the bolt I hold onto the edge of the rover to keep myself from falling off, questioning Bellamy "Why the hell did I decide that was a good idea?"
