Chapter Eight

Zara's POV

It's been about a week since I left. I didn't like leaving but I wasn't going to see a man that I love get with someone else. It was for the best. I know that they are looking for me, I can feel it. I hate it.

I went to the Volturi and they let me stay. I haven't joined, but they are good friends of mine. 

"Zara they kings want to in the throne room." Jane says.

I nod my head and follow her to the throne room. The doors open and I see Aro, Marcus, and my favorite Caius. I love them all the same but Caius and I have the closest relationship. 

"Ah... Zara, how are you my dear?" Aro asked me.

"I'm doing better." I lie.

"We know you're lying, please tell us." 

"I can feel them trying to find me, I hate it. But I couldn't watch when one of my mates is with my niece. I couldn't and now here I am, hiding." 

I start crying and Caius comes and hugs me. I hug him back, he leads me over to his throne and has me sit on his lap. 

"We will do anything we can to help. Alec and Demetri, I want you to go to The Cullens and watch the child. If she leaves, you leave. If she is doing this then, find out and tell us." They nod and runoff.

Just as Aro was about to say something the door opens once more and I see Heidi, Jasper, and Alice.

I gasp and turn around so I don't see them.

"Master, they say they want to help." Heidi says.

I look at them and run to them. Alice and Jasper catch me and hug me too.

"I'm so sorry Zara, I could have prevented this but I couldn't see her. Bella had her shield around them I couldn't. I'm so sorry."

"It's okay Alice I know you didn't mean to do anything." 

I look at Jasper and smile. I feel my mood become happy and not depressed. 

"Thank you." 

He smiles at me and nods.

"Well, what a wonderful reunion. Zara, did you want them to help with this or did you want them to leave? It's your call."

"They can help."

"You need to call Sam and the rest of them. Tell them why you ran, they are messed up, angry. Even Jacob isn't fully himself." 

I nod and take them to their room.

"I'm going to call them if you guys need anything, you know who to ask. I'll be back." I say and walk to my room. 

I get to my room and get my phone and call Sam. He picks up.

'Sam?' I ask.

'Zara?' A tired voice asked.

'Hey Sam.'

'Where have you been, we've been looking for you? Why did you leave? Do you not want us anymore? Why Zara...why?' 

He sounds so broken.

'I'm safe with Alice and Jasper. I couldn't see one of my mates be with someone else other than me. I'm sorry I know I shouldn't have left without telling you guys why but I-i...'

'I know Zara, we don't like it too. Just tell us where you are and two of us will come.'

'I'm at the Volturi. I know you guys don't like them, but they saved me. I couldn't go to Victor's because I know you guys would have looked and asked him first. I'm sorry.'

'Baby it's fine. I'll have Leah and Paul come. Please tell the lea-- vampires that they are coming.'

'I will. Sam?'

'Yes baby.'

'I love you.'

'I love you too, we all do. No matter what, you could become a vampire and we would still love you.'

We hang up and I go to the kings and tell them that two of my mates are coming. They said it was fine as long as none of them got into a real fight with any of the members. 

I go and see Alice and Jasper and we talk for a while. I find out that The Cullens are sadbut they try their best to find me. alice also said she did see me leaving but knew it was for the best and didn't let Jasper stop me or anyone for that matter. I thank her for that, I knew I couldn't stay there without killing myself. I may have left people that love me but it was for the best. Now, all we need to do is find out what the hell is happening. Why does Jake not recognize me as his imprint and why does my family not stop him? I know it may take a while but I have people that will help me and won't do any harm to me.  I just hope everything turns out good.

I go back to my room and put on warm pajamas and get into bed and fall asleep thinking about my mates and family.
