Chapter 8

Sorry about late update! I won my soccer game and things teammates ;) {I play with boys hehe}

"Got any sevens?"

"Go fish."

Jc and I were the only people home and we were bored as ever. Everyone else was at Mahogany and Aaron's birthday party, we decided to hang back.

"Alright I'm sick of this." Jc said throwing down his cards and I gasped. "You did have a seven you liar!" I said pouting and he chuckled, "Keep the game interesting!"

I leaned back on the couch and fiddled with the ends of my ponytail. "We should do something, just you, me, Sam and a couple friends that aren't at the party." I smiled and he nodded.

"I'll call Lia and some of my old friends, you get Sam and such." Jc smiled and I nodded as I jogged out the door and went home.

I unlocked the door and went in, the house was dark as I left it and I turned on the lights. I saw spots of blood on the floor and I gasped, "Sam! You alright?" I yelled and he walked in.

"Huh? Oh t-that, I was playing with Blue and I, um, Blue jumped on me and his claws cut my foot so I started bleeding. I forgot to clean up, sorry Haze." Sam sighed and I let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness! I thought you were really hurt, is your foot okay?" I said looking down at his black socks.

"Yeah, I just washed it and put on a bandaid. Now what's up?" Sam said and I set my stuff on the couch.

"Well, everyone is practically gone to Mahogany and Aaron's party. Jc and I are trying to round up some people for a little get together, y'know?" I smiled and Sam shrugged.

"I guess so, I can ring up some people and tell them to meet us next door."

"Yay! I'll meet you over there?"

"Sure."

"See you there, love you Sammie."

"Love you too." I walked back out of the house and frowned, Sam has been so depressing lately. I don't blame him about the Trevor incident, but it's in God's hands now and we cant do anything about it.

I smiled and smelled the warm autumn air, it was so fresh and crisp. I loved it. I adjusted my black skirt and pulled the sleeves down on my light blue crewneck, I smiled as I walked back into the house.

"Yeah... Uh, i dont know... Please? It'll be fun!... Yay! Thanks Dom... Alright bye bye." Jc ended the phone call and smiled.

"Well, Lia is on her way and I just got off the phone with Dom who is also coming. What's your status?" Jc said fixing his hat.

"Well Dakota is at the party, Sam is going to call a friend or two. I don't think I have anyone to call, honestly." I sighed and he shrugged.

I heard the door click open and I turned around and saw Sam come in with his arm around a blonde girl with piercing blue eyes and a tan dark haired boy following.

I tensed up when I saw how close the girl and Sam was. I bit the inside of my cheek and smiled slightly, trying to ignore the burning feeling in my gut.

"Hey guys!" The boy said and I gave him a small nod. "Hazel, this is Jake. Jake, this is Hazel." Sam introduced me to the dark tan boy and I stood up.

I shook his hand and noticed his piercing hazel eyes, they were really pretty. "I like your name." Jake smiled and I giggled. "Thank you, I like your eyes." I smiled and noticed Sam smiling too.
