I felt my eyes open, I yawned and looked around my room. It took me a moment to remember what was going on in my life and my heart began to sink.
I slowly got out of bed and took off my pants, leaving me in just my lace underwear and my baggy crewneck I put on in the middle of the night.
The crewneck hung low to the top of my thighs, showing my butt pretty well. I straightened it out and went out of my door, I saw Blue laying by my door.
As soon as he heard the door open, he was awake. He sprinted to the back door and began to whine to go outside, I groaned and made my way over there slowly.
I slide open the door and let him go outside, I closed the door and returned to the couch. I was still groggy from my nap and I checked the clock on the wall.
Just past 6:00
I took my phone off the table and unlocked it, I clicked on Cameron's contact and held the phone up to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Hey Cam, it's Hazel."
"Hazel, hi! Oh, I'm so sorry with Trevor and- you know." He let out an exasperated sigh and I bit my lip.
"Yeah, uhm... I was wondering if you and I wanted to get dinner or something." I asked sheepishly and raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I guess so. Where should we meet up?"
I thought for a second and sighed. "Taco Bell." I chuckled and I could practically hear him smiling.
"Fantastic! See ya soon!" I heard the line go dead and I let out a groan. I was still exhausted from yesterday, I went to the cabinets and pulled out my this-stops-cancer medicine and swallowed it.
I went into my room and put on acid wash high waisted shorts and a pink muscle tank top that said 'YOLO' in white bold letters.
I put on my white converse and finished my makeup. I quickly grabbed my phone and went to the sliding glass doors to let Blue in.
"C'mon Blue!" I said in a sing song voice and he bounced over inside, he was actually getting pretty big. He was about the height of the chair legs!
I shut the glass doors and locked it, I went to the front door this time and walked out.
I briefly looked around to make sure people weren't around, I honestly just needed to talk to Cameron and see where that took me.
I walked over to my car and took out my car keys, I stuck it in the ignition and it started up like usual. I slowly backed out of the driveway, patting my hair down while I did this, and began to drive down the street.

"Hazel! Over here!" I heard Cameron shout from the other side of Taco Bell and I gave him a polite smile as I walked over.
He got out of the booth he was in and gave me a welcoming hug. "You look nice." Cam smiled and I thanked him. "You do too, Mister." I chuckled as I admired his plaid flannel buttoned up, leaving two open to see his white shirt, and his jeans and black vans.
"Thank you, shall we go up and order?" Cam asked motioning to the small line of people in front of the cashier, I nodded.
We walked up to line and stood there for a couple moments, not talking at all. I honestly think Cam was trying to be careful with his words, maybe he was trying to think.
We ordered quickly and went back to the little booth we were in. I let out a sigh, getting very bored quickly.
"So... Uh, how's Trevor?" Cameron asked and I shrugged.
"Coma."
"Oh wow, i-I didn't know that.. How's it with you and Sam?" Cameron gave me a small smile, hoping the conversation would lighten up and I shook my head.
"Not good. We got in a fight yesterday, haven't talk to him, seen him, or anything since yesterday. I kind of freaked out in the hospital." I blushed and Cameron frowned.
"Well, I understand how it would be if my friend was in a coma. I would be freaking the hell out!" Cameron said a little too loudly, causing people to look over and give us annoyed glances.
"Order 21." I heard our number for our food and Cameron chuckled.
"Twenny one!" Cameron shouted and I rolled my eyes, this boy is embarrassment with two feet. I got out of the booth and walked over to get our food on the tray and walked back over, setting it down lightly on the table.
I took the two empty cups and tilted my head to Cameron. "What do you want to drink?" I asked motioning to the soda fountain and he squinted at it.
"Coke." He said, then he glanced back at his phone. I nodded and walked over there, getting two cokes when three girls ran up to me.
Easily 13 or 14.
"You're Hazel, right? Oh my gosh, we love you! Are you doing ok? We, uh... Heard about Trevor." A girl with ombré hair and way too much makeup said.
"Oh, thanks." I smiled and sighed. "I could be doing better but, Trevor's alright." I said wearily and they nodded.
"You with Sam?" The brunette asked and I shook my head. "I'm with Cameron today," I said pointing to him and I handed the brunette the coke, "Deliver this to him for me? We can all say hi." I smiled.
They squealed and I chuckled, I was glad they were happy. I actually wanted to make them happy, maybe that's what I could do...
Make other people happy.
I thought about it until I sat down across from Cameron, the girls smiled at him and he waved.
"Hey babes!" He smiled looking at all of them, the same twinkle in his eye. "Hi Cam, do you mind if we take some pictures?" The third girl with black hair asked and he nodded.
"Can we take selfies?" Cameron asked, really getting into it and making the teens gush.
Ah, I remember when I was that hormonal.
They took a couple pictures and even got their pictures with me, which made me extremely happy and I felt wanted.
I was left alone with Cameron again. I sighed and he eyed my face, trying to read my emotions.
"I want to change." I said and he raised an eyebrow. "Like your image?"
"Sort of? I just want a different look and I guess be something else then this worthless, goth, cancer girl."
"You're not goth or worthless, but I guess I can help."
"No, I just want advice."
"Dye your hair, fix your look I guess? New makeup... That's it I guess." Cameron said and I sighed. "Sounds good to me, I'm going to go."
"Alright, see you soon." He smiled at me and I waved as I gathered my stuff and threw away my food except for my coke.

"I dont know." I said to myself looking at the blonde, brown, and red hair dye. It's hard to decide what I like, this was going to be a painful process but I can always re-dye it.
"Who gives a fuck." I mumbled and picked up the dye.
