A/N: These next parts will take place over the year that Dean was living an apple-pie-life, Sam was hunting with his grandfather and Cass was playing sheriff upstairs.
Also sry for the wait. I have been very busy lately but I got like 3 updates.
I clenched my angel's blade in my hand. Four months had passed since Sam's jump into the cage. I was on a hunt. A real serious one. Angels were disappearing. No one knew how or why. I was trying to fit the pieces together.
I heard a sound in a different room and moved forward. I burst into the room to find a scene I was finding way too familiar. I sat down with a sigh.
Another place where torture was held. By who? I don't know. Why? I haven't gotten any closer to finding out. I stood up. I should swing by Lisa's to see Dean.
I knocked on Lisa's door. "Hey Lisa. Is Dean home?"
"No sorry. He took Ben to the park. Would you like to come in?"
I accepted her offer and we sat and talked for a while. Lisa knew that Dean had been a hunter and she probably figured the same for me but she didn't know how close I was to the supernatural world. I was glad that Dean was living in a world of normal life which normal life people found boring. I was caught off guard by one of Lisa's statements.
"So how far along are you?"
"Pardon?"
"It's quite obvious. I remember when I had Ben. I can tell."
"What do you mean?"
"You're pregnant aren't you?"
I was speechless and thank god Dean came through the door at that moment. He pulled me into a hug that made me miss his help on cases. I ruffled Ben's hair and smiled.
"Sorry guys but I was just leaving. I will have to drop by again some other time."
Lisa shared a look with me. A promise to keep it secret from Dean. I pulled her into a hug, whispering, "Four months."
I was quite glad that angels could teleport because the second the door closed behind me I zapped myself over to Bobby's. Well after a short stop to grab some hunter's helper for him. I gave him a hug and began to make a meal. I always tried to have a meal made for him unless if hunting got in the way. Bobby was becoming something of a father to me. We sat and chatted for a while. I told him that I had visited Lisa. Bobby loved Sam and Dean. I knew he did. He would have made a great father. Sam and Dean did stress him out sometimes and acted like kids but who can blame them? They grew up too fast.
Bobby finished his supper and went to bed. I was left the house to myself. I had to clean dishes after the supper for Bobby and had my back turned toward the door. I felt strong hands grab my shoulders and spin me around.
"Hey Sugar."
It was Balthazar. What was he doing? I eyed him suspiciously and dried my hands on a towel.
"What is it Balthazar?"
"You know your boyfriend? Well he has been missing a few days to nearly two weeks. I heard rumour you are working on that angel case. Care to help me track him down?"
"No. You stay here."
I grabbed my jacket to cover my blade and peeked around a door from the hallway. I had transported to the old office building from earlier in the day.
Had it been Cass who was being tortured?
He wasn't in the room so I envisioned the shinning blue eyes and the soft embrace of Castiel. I opened my eyes. I was in the dark. I could smell fresh blood but couldn't sense anyone. A small light hung over a single limp form and I felt a cry stick in my throat but I refused to release it. Castiel was chained to a chair and his grace was nearly inexistent. He was two inches to death. I felt an anger bubble, warming my fingertips. Castiel didn't even wake from the warmth.
I pulled all types of instruments of torture from Castiel's body. I pulled him into me and back to Bobby's.

"Cass I know you won't be able to respond but..."
Castiel was in a coma. I had cleaned him up so that when he woke up he wouldn't be covered in blood.
"....... I'm sure you can hear me so I want to tell you something in case you don't wake up for a while."
I fiddled with my jacket sleeve wondering how to say it. I picked up his hand and laid it on my stomach.
"I love you Cass."
I felt a presence and knew it was Balthazar. The angel came closer and offered a drink. I could feel the temptation to have a drink but shook my head. I envisioned an icecream cone and licked the cold treat while one hand held Castiel's hand to my stomach. Balthazar remained standing as my eyes drifted to Castiel's face.
"So...you and him?"
I didn't answer which is enough of an answer.
"So little junior is on the way?"
"In five months."
"You should take it easy. You know, stop hunting."
"Balthazar you know I can't. This is a serious case."
"What is more important?"
Of course the case was more important but in my heart I felt as if the life growing inside me was more important than anything else in the world. Balthazar was good at playing his cards. Of course I agreed to letting him pick up my case. I wasn't happy about handing over my case but no hunter is. Balthazar stayed until he was finished his drink before letting me know he would be leaving now. And by letting me know I mean he placed his empty glass on Bobby's desk, placed his hand on my head and then disappeared.
Creaking floor boards woke me up but it was only Bobby coming into the living room. I smiled up at him as he took in the scene of me sleeping beside Castiel with my head on his chest.
"Morning Kaylee."
"Morning Bobby."
I closed my eyes but the smell of coffee forced me to sincerely consider getting up. I had decided to get up but was postponing it as I didn't want to leave the warmth of Castiel's body. I felt a hand stroke my hair and I looked for anyone else in the room. No one. I slowly craned my chin to see that Castiel was awake. I smiled when I saw him smile at me. I took his hand from my head to place it on my stomach.
"Balthazar took over my case for now."
"Are you- are you-"
"Yes."
There was silence and I started to get fearful. Was he not happy? I thought he would be overjoyed to know his genes would be carried on.
"Cass?"
"Who's?"
"Ours."
