Chapter 3 - Kenna

It's all a dream... It's all just a very, very bad dream. He is not standing there and I do not have flames coming out of my fingers...

"You okay?" he asked in his deep voice... I must say he is rather handsome... With his mess blonde hair and pale blue eyes... Suddenly I realised that he had said something.

"What?"

He chuckled "I asked you if you were okay"

"Do you think I'm okay?" I pointed out, I mean come on, I'm who-knows-where with flaming fingers!

He nodded solemnly "You look fine"

"Fine? I have freaking flaming fingers and you say I'm fine?" My blood was boiling at this guy, he was acting like this was normal.

He shrugged "You will learn to control it"

I sat up from the bed he placed me on "I want my mum!"

"You can't" He replied calmly.

"I want my mother" I screamed at him, picking up the nearest object and throwing it at him. He smoothly dodged the flaming pillow.

"Please refrain from touching anything till you have extinguished your fingers" He sighed "If you want your mother so badly I will tell the Master Elder to see whether Moanna will travel back to Earth to get her" He started to walk to the door.

"Wait!" I called out "Moanna? Let me speak to her" He nodded before ducking out of the room. Now what? I could try to run away but where would I go? The guy said that we weren't on Earth so I was doomed to say here forever. But maybe this was still part of the joke and the fire is artificial as it doesn't hurt.  I looked down at my fingers which were still burning brightly. What is happening?

I heard footsteps outside the door and quickly composed myself. A blonde female walked in. "Hey, i'm Pavarti" She smiled at me "Here let me help" She grabbed hold of my hands and extinguished my fingers.

"H..How?"

She sat down next to me "I control water and earth. I'm surprised Leith didn't help you"

 I nodded trying to appear calm on the outside when my mind was in turmoil "So um... who's Leith?"

"Leith is the guy who is looking after you" She shook her head slightly "He can be... a bit uptight"

"I see..." We elapsed into a silence. Sparks of awkwardness flew through the air.

"What's the Merai Tribe?" I needed to know, It was a question plaguing my mind.

"The tribe that controls fire" She replied Is everybody in on this sick joke?

"Is this some joke, and that we are on Earth"

She shook her head sadly "Look around you Kenna, does this look like Earth?"

I did as she said, I was in a small room maybe only a couple of meters wide with logs stacked on a thick layer of stone for walls and a weaved leaves acted as a carpet. "It might be a set up"

She cleared her throat "Well it's nice meeting you Kenna, If you need anything just ask around the village for me"

I swallowed "Sure"

"No problem" She shot me one last glance before leaving the room. The instant she left the room the guy, that Pavarti called Leith, came back with an old woman in tow.
