"Go Alfie" Ivar says, "Don't let anyone hurt your mommy" He says with his eyes a little swollen and his presence a little jaded
"Come on, Alfie" I say as I try to hold him but he swats my arm away and clings to Ivar

"Maybe a walk will change his mind" Hvitserk smiles as he takes Alfie's hand
"Just don't brainwash him, Hvitserk" Ivar says

"We'll leave you two be" Torvi bows as everyone moves away
Leaving Ivar and I, all alone
Just Ella, my horse, listening to our conversations
"No matter how hard I try" Ivar says as his voice cracks
"I cannot unlove you" he says with teary eyes
I move towards him as I keep a hand on his shoulder and rub it gently
"Can't you stay? Can't we start brand new?" He shakes
"I will love his child like mine, If you stay, I swear I'll make this world more beautiful for you" Ivar says as his eyes become bloodshot red
"Oh Ivar" I say as I wrap my arms around him and he buries his face in my collar bone
"If only you could see yourself from my eyes, you would know how beautiful you really are to me" He says
And I weep, That's when I knew that a broken heart can ache too.
"What should I do to get you back in my arms again?" He says as I sigh
I tilt my head a little and position my lips near his ears
"Kill King Alfred" I whisper, "Not to avenge your father's death, but for your future with me"
He looks at me with an absolute disbelief
"Here now!" Hvitserk says
"Alfie? Are you ready to come with mommy?" I ask as Ivar stares at me while he holds my waist
"Are you sure?" He asks
"Do as I say and I'll be yours" I say as I let go of his grip from my waist and hold Alfie up in my arms
"I will Indeed marry King Alfred" I say, "But not for love, but for duty"
Ivar's eyes turn angry again
"Then I shall attack England the day you marry him, no matter how soon it maybe" Ivar gives an evil smile
"Then we shall have a war, May the mightiest win" I say as I mount my horse
Ivar looks like a love stricken puppy
"Remember my words and no one can stop you, Ivar Ragnarsson" I say as he nods
"And one more thing" I say as Ella neighs
"West Wing Wall" I say as I look at baffled Ivar and Hvitserk
"West wing wall?" Hvitserk asks
"You know that Alfred's city is fully fortified" I say as I caress my hair, "But the west wing wall, is a dummy" I say
"Nova.." Ivar says with a big smile
"Throughout my stay with Alfred, I did some research and I know that it is the weakest spot, that is where you let your forces in, that is from where you will attack the English. The West Wing wall" I say
"Genius! I cannot believe this!" Hvitserk exclaims
"Nova, I cannot fathom you betraying Alfred for me" Ivar says as he takes my hand and kisses it
"There are plethora of things that one cannot fathom about the other" I smile and say as I pull Ella's reins,
And gallop towards the English castle ...
With wind in my hair, ambition in my soul and madness in my mind.
