Ivar's POV
"Nova?" I speak softly as she stands behind the chestnut tree
She turns around with the sound of my voice
"Oh Ivar" She says with tears in her eyes and runs in my arms
"Shhhh, everything is going to be just fine. I am here for you" I say as I hold her in my arms as she continues to sob
"No, it's not" She sobs
There is something about the air today, it smells of blood and snow. Whereas, she smells like a water lily covered in blood
"All these years" Nova looks into my eyes, "I wanted a perfect fairytale"
She holds me tighter
"A man, kids and most importantly love" She says as her face becomes red
"I am willing to give it all to you" I say as I rub her cheek
"But when you had a chance Ivar, you decided to not choose me" She looks at me like a puppy
"Leaving you was a mistake" I say
"And what was Freydis?" She asks brokenheartedly
"Another mistake" I say
"And what was today? When you decided to abandon the promise of coming via west wing?" She asks
And my heart stops.
"Nova.." I say as I squeeze she arms but she holds her ground
"Ivar, honestly. You expect me to trust you repeatedly, even when you break me every-time" She says as her body language changes
"Whereas I broke you, not even once" She says with teary eyes
"I loved you, let you into my life and in my heart. even after you killed everyone I loved" She says as her lips shiver
"Nova, please..." I say
"You broke me, I build my self up and then you broke me" She continues
"I gave you heart, you gave it back to me broken
I gave you a child, you gave me emptiness
I gave you reasons to love me
But all you gave were reasons to leave" She says as she cries
"Nova, we can start new" I say as I pull her closer to me
"I have heard it all Ivar, millions of times before" She says as she let's go of my hand, "I just wanted you to save me Ivar, to love me how I deserve as I have been nothing but kind to you" She says as she takes a step back
"Then what do want huh?" I ask irratedly
"I want to be set free" She says
As I feel my back tearing apart, as blood gushes out of my stomach
