Chapter 45

"Did I hear you correct?" I asked her, my eyes widened in bewilderment,  just to be sure I asked her again. How can they send an Angel to Hell. This is impossible. She rolled her eyes in annoyance, "Yes, they send me to hell to get tortured for eternity" she said, anger coming back in her eyes. I shuddered at the thought, it is a great sin to send an actual Angel to hell.

They are the purest of creature, messenger of God. How can these god damn Witches send her there and why didn't she fight back.

"You are the most powerful creature, why didn't you fight back?" I asked frowning, if whatever is Rose telling me is true then she is free to take her revenge, she has every right to. She scoffed at me "You will try to fight back when you are mourning over the death of your mate!" her expression bitter, her fist was clenched.

"They attacked me at my worst" she said and closed her eyes. I nodded my head understanding her situation, if some one kill Chase in front of me, I will go berserk on them even if our bond is not that strong. 

"What happened after that?" 

She chuckled humorlessly "I got torture by Lucifer himself, he hated me the most because I was an angel and he had that purity at some point in his life. I have suffered for many years there, my once white wings turned coal black in the environment of hell. He even cut my wings out at some point. It was the most painful thing I have ever went through after Lazarus" she said blankly, her eyes not looking at me. It was like she was seeing right through me. "After hundred years of agony, I finally got an opportunity to get out of the hell" she said taking a pause and looking at me. I raised my eye brow in curiosity, how did she make it out?

"And I grab the opportunity and fled from the place, by then I got out I was too weak to take care of myself let alone get the revenge" she explained, I felt bad for her that she has to gone through so much. She sacrificed so much in her life.

"What were you doing in Baruna then?" I was curious to know and how did she went inside me, this is still the mystery to me. She raised her eye brow and chuckled "You are curious one, aren't you". I rolled my eyes but nodded along.

"Its the story for another time" she smirked, I opened my mouth to reply that I want to know everything now but she vanished away from the mirror and I was looking at my reflection. Just then door to this room opened and Chase came inside, his eyes found mine and he looked at me fully and after scanning me, a smile appear on his face and he walked in my direction.

I was happy that Rose went away before Chase could see her.

"You look fresh" he said in suggestive tone, I rolled my eyes at his tone but smiled nonetheless. "And you look tired" I said looking at him, there were bags under his eyes and his hair looked wild. His face lost the spark and his eyes looked dark. He sighed "I am fine".

I scoffed, Fine my ass. He is not getting proper rest. Without thinking further I took his hand in mine and take him towards the bed. He was reluctant to go but after one glare he shut his mouth and sat down on the bed beside me. "You lay down and get some sleep" I told him, he shook his head and tried to stand up again, I pulled him towards me and make him lay down. "I am fine Emerald" he said annoyed, I huffed "You are not getting out of this bed until you get your sleep" I said sternly glaring at him, he needs his rest. He sighed and properly lie down on bed, I was sitting beside him. He didn't close his eyes, he was just staring at me. I chuckled "I will still be here when you wake up" I promised him and put my hand in his hair feeling his soft hair in my hand. I slowly massage his head and he closed his eyes sighing in pleasure. I smiled at him, he put his hands on my waist and moved his head on my lap. I ran my fingers in his hair.
