Chapter 26

Chase P.O.V

I looked around me, there was darkness, I blinked multiple times to adjust my vision around darkness. I still couldn't see anything, so I enhanced my sight and saw trees surrounding me. I looked around me, there were big trees, bushes and I can hear water running somewhere. I looked up to saw it was night time, multiple star were scattered in the sky, the view looked beautiful.

So, this is where she is stuck.

I started walking towards the water, lets see where it will take me. There was silence all around, not even the sound of wind blowing can be heard, it was dead silence. Only my footsteps can be heard crunching the leaves. I was on alert mode even if this place looked empty, there must be some danger around if she is stuck here. I came across a lake, a wide one, water was sparkling due to the numerous stars scattered around in the sky. 

Wow

The scene was marvelous, I looked around me to find her.

Where is she now?

Should I shout her name, like she will answer me. I don't have enough time to search the whole perimeter, what should I do? Shouting it is then.

"Emerald" I shouted walking around the lake to the other side, I walked further away shouting her name.

No response

Did I expect any better. Oh, how I could fly like my mate and search this while place in instant.  

I tried few more time but got no such luck. Damn it. I don't have enough time to waste here. 

"You are looking for some one?" a voice said behind me. I quickly turned around to see who asked this question, there stood a woman in white floral dress, she has blonde hair and blue eyes. I raised my eye brow "Who are you?" I asked instead, what is she doing here, this place is in Emerald's head, how come there is another being here unless...

She chuckled, eyes shining bright, "It doesn't matter who I  am, what matters is that you have to find whatever you are looking quickly" she said and turned around to walk away from me. 

What the hell!

I quickly followed her and started walking by her side. "Can your help me?" I after a while, I don't have any other option. A smirk appeared on her face, I suppress a growl at this, "Of course, I would love to help a gentleman like you" she replied still walking on the same path, If Emerald would have been here, she probably would have laughed at the word 'gentleman' and 'me' in same sentence. Snap out of it Chase, don't get attach to her.

 "So what are you looking for?" she asked again, I was a little hesitant to respond but I don't have any other option. "I am looking for a girl, auburn hair, forest green eyes, so green that when you look into her eyes, you can feel the calmness of the forest, she is very beautiful to look at, hard to miss, innocent but feisty" I listed all the details about Emerald without realizing it. She smiled, "You love her, don't you" she stated, I scoffed, is she mad, why would I love someone. Love is nothing but an illusion to sate our attraction to some one. Yeah I agree I am attracted to her because she is beautiful and my mate other than that she is nothing and the attraction will fade away with time. "Well, the way you were talking about her, everyone will think the same" she said innocently. Whatever.

"Can you help me find her?" I changed the topic, I don't need someone telling me about my love life which practically doesn't exist. I never have any problem in getting women because of my looks and my title, so I never know what love is. When Annalise came into my life, she was bold, a proper lady, she knows how to handle a situation and top of that she is a fighter, she has all the quality I wanted in a girl who can rule by my side because how much I hate love, A king needs a Queen to rule by his side.  "I saw a girl like your description, she was laying beside a tree, blooded. My eye widened, Blooded. "Can you take me to her" I said quickly, my breathing becoming harsh.
