As Years Pass (An Edd x Marie story)

Girls Will Be Girls

Sarah and Jimmy were driving into town. Jimmy was holding his mouth obviously in pain. He had his teeth that were lost in a small plastic bag in his lap.

"Don't worry Jimmy I'll take you to the dentist and they will fix you right up."

"I spent all those years with braces to have perfect teeth and your brother destroyed that in minutes."

"I know Jimmy I'm sorry, but dont worry Double D is going to pay for it." Sarah smirked as she held up her joint account credit card."

"I don't know why you married Edd in the first place Sarah, you and I are the ones together."

"I told you Jimmy it was to secure our future together. Out of everyone in this town I knew Edd was going to get the best job. You and I are to delicate and beautiful for work and we needed to be able to survive."

"Ok Sarah." Jimmy took Sarah's hand, "I love you."

"I love you too Jimmy."

At the dentist office they sat in the exam room while the dentist examined Jimmy's mouth, "My god how did this even happen? The teeth that weren't broken off have been pushed back as if they are folded in half. You must have impacted an incredibly hard and dense surface."

"Yeah, my brother's stupid head. Can you fix them doctor?"

"I can but those teeth need to be pulled back forward, you'll have to wear this for a while after we make you a retainer."

Jimmy looked to see what the nurse was holding. A single tear fell from his eye as he looked away in embarrasment.

"Oh no, I'm sorry Jimmy."

Jimmy's retainer was made and Sarah was driving back home, "You know Jimmy it doesn't look that bad, it's actually kind of cute like when we were kids."

"Don't patronize me Sarah, nothing is cute about head gear."

"Well it's only for a little while. You'll have new teeth in a week or two. So don't worry about it."

They arrived back at home, Sarah kissed Jimmy on the cheek, "You'll be ok Jimmy I promise. Once that Kanker cunt leaves town again, everything will go back to normal."

"You really think so?"

"Of course I do, Edd is terrified of being alone, there is no way he'll risk having someone to come home to for someone like her."

"Why can't you actually leave him? I could make things work for us."

"Because Jimmy we have an easy life, why would we want to get jobs when we can let Edd do all the work."

"Ok Sarah if that's what you want."

The two exited the car and went back inside the house. Jimmy took a pain pill the dentist had given him for his teeth and Sarah was hanging up her coat when she spotted Marie leaving Lee's house. "I don't believe it, it's really her."

Jimmy rushed over to look as Sarah was putting her coat back on. "It is. What are you gonna do?"

"I'm gonna go have a little chat with the home wrecker, that's all."

Sarah stormed out the door and started walking toward Marie who was coming down the sidewalk. Marie hadn't noticed Sarah coming up behind her. Sarah grabbed Marie's shoulder and spun her around. "Hey what are you doing back here!?"

Marie looked at Sarah, her rage began to build and she made both her hands into fists, the only thing keeping her from reacting was Lee's words, "You trying to go to jail before you even get to make it official with your man?" Marie relaxed her fists,

"What do you want?" She stared at Sarah coldly and pulled a cigarette from her pocket.

"Why are you back here wasn't life out god knows where being a groupie whore or whatever perfect for you?"

Marie lit her cigarette and blew smoke in Sarah's face, "Listen bitch, it ain't gonna be today, but I owe you a beating. For the last 10 years of my life I regretted leaving, I wanted what you had so goddamn bad I could taste it. All you could do was take it for granted. You're nothing Sarah, and barely even worth my time so how about you turn your bony ass around and March right back into that house while you still have a place in it."

"You think Double D is really going to leave me for you? Ha, yea right."

Marie smiled menacingly, "I think you mean left. Where did he sleep last night Sarah?"

"I do believe he stayed with me and Ed."

Sarah turned around to see May and Lee behind her.

"That's right. I saw him leave for work with my man this morning."

Jimmy saw the other two Kankers and ran out getting in the middle putting his hands on Sarah's shoulders. "Come on Sarah lets go back inside."

The kankers erupted with laughter, Lee said, "Hey Jimmy nice head gear. You make that yourself from a coat hanger?"

Jimmy embarassed lead Sarah back to the house. The kankers kept laughing at how the scene unfolded. "Just like old times eh girls? May you take Marie back home so she gets there safe, I have to wait for little man to get off the bus."

"I can walk back by myself but thanks guys."

Marie cheerfully went through the woods back to the trailer. May and Lee nodded at eachother and returned to thier own homes all three awaiting the arrivle of thier beloved Eds.
